The Proposal

She sighed and put her hand over her eye and removed the contact lenses. She put her hand in her pocket and dialed Ralph’s number. But his phone rang and he didn't answer it.

She dropped the phone in the top drawer and drifted to sleep.

The next day.

Lucinda was sleeping peacefully on her bed when her phone started ringing. She groaned and picked up the phone. She picked up the call without staring at the caller.

"Hello, how are you? I saw your missed calls." Ralph stated.

"Yes, I wanted to tell you that I am back." Lucinda muttered.

"So, did you find out who is kidnapping people because we couldn't get through to you?" he grumbled.

"Yes, I managed to know the person, it’s Queen Luna, and I have talked to her." Lucinda beamed.

"What do you mean you have talked to her? Why was she kidnapping humans in the first place?" he asked.

"She just needed an assistant." Lucinda muttered, closing her eyes tightly. She got a feeling that Ralph wouldn’t believe her.

"Okay, but get ready for work." He stated and hung up.

"My dear wife, how is the potion coming?" Lucifer asked.

Lucinda screwed up her face.

"We are working on it." She muttered.

"Where are you?" he asked.

"I am on earth now to get something for her." She replied, jumping down from the bed.

"That’s good," he muttered.

Lucinda walked into the bathroom to take her bath.

Medusa stared at Ralph as he walked into the bathroom.

She wanted to talk to him about the body swap because she couldn’t get through to Lucinda. She was trying to keep her mouth shut so as not to blow her cover, but she missed Lucinda a lot. She was trying her best to leave without her.

Ralph finished bathing and walked out of the bathroom with a towel tied around his chest.

When they both heard a knock on the door, Ralph stared at Medusa. He wanted her to go and open the door, but he was the one closest to the door.

He walked to the door and opened it. When Hudson walked in, he smiled widely at Ralph as he held a bouquet of flowers.

"Hi Lucinda." He beamed with a toothy smile.

"Hi." Ralph muttered and wrapped his hand around himself. He was getting shy as Hudson was staring at Lucinda’s half-naked body. He didn’t like the way he was looking at him.

Ralph rushed to the wardrobe and took out a pink blouse and a black skirt. He dashed into the bathroom.

As Medusa made her way to Hudson,He handed her the bouquet of flowers. She started sniffing the flowers as she smiled widely at him.

"Thanks for the…." She paused as she looked at him.

He got down on his knees and stared at her. He put his hand in his pocket as Medusa opened her eyes wide in surprise. Hudson was going to propose to her. She didn’t know if their marriage could work because she was a demon.
