Scared to die?

"Alright, fine let's do it, if anything happens, you owe me one." He pointed at her with his index finger.

She held his finger.

"Don't worry, I won't let you down." She beamed.

"Let's go." He stated, walking ahead of her, that she wanted to follow him when she staggered backwards and held her head.

"What are you planning to do, my queen?" Lucifer asked bluntly.

She nearly fell as Ralph supported her...

"What's wrong with a grown man like you?" Ralph inquired, helping her stand on her feet. 

"I think it's because I haven't eaten since yesterday." Lucinda muttered.

"You can't even take care of yourself and you are thinking about the welfare of the people, wait here." He said and ran away as she stood there waiting for him.

"I want to help as many people as possible, you couldn't keep your promise. Didn't you say your demons wouldn't enter our city?" She asked, irked.

"I know I said that, but, things have gotten out of hand, they don't rest till they burn that city to the ground, and that way they will destroy the home of my enemy." He said, with an evil grin.

"My enemy, do you perhaps mean Deacon?" She asked bluntly.

"Who else? And also that useless Ralph, I have plans for him." Lucifer grinned.

"What do you mean by plans? Which kind of plans?" She asked but got no response when someone touched her from behind.

"Ahh!!" She yelled as she moved backwards, posing to fight the person.

"Calm down, it's me." Ralph muttered.

She sighed deeply as he handed her a bottle of water and a hamburger.

She took it from him and opened the burger. She took a bite and started chewing.

"Let's go!" He declared.

"Have you ever done this before?" Lucinda asked.

"What?" He inquired, looking keenly at her.

"Eating on the road." 

"A lot of times." He beamed. 

"Liar." She snarled as she hit him lightly on the chest.

Minutes later.

They arrived in front of the company. 

There was a big poster at the front.

There was a skull on the poster that said "danger".

"What the heck is going on?" Lucinda asked as two employees ran to them holding guns.

They were wearing black overalls that stuck to their bodies, showing their curves.

"We are getting ready for the war boss."  They chorused.

In the blink of an eye, the company walls opened and a lot of bomb robots started driving out of the company, Ralph held Lucinda, and they both got out of the way waiting for them to pass.

"What are those things used for?" Lucinda inquired.

"To shoot bombs and disable the bombs." He stated as the last robot drive out of the company...

"Your employees are already prepared." She mumbled...

"We have been saving those things for times of emergency." He beamed as they both walked into the company.

An employee walked up to Lucinda, looking down.

"Boss, we are sorry we started making decisions without you." He apologized.

"No, it's okay, I totally understand. We are in a great crisis." She stated.
