Useless people

The sorcerers were trembling as the wind started to blow into the house. Lucinda was just laying on the bed weakly listening to all their conversation as a tear rolled down her face. She was angry that they couldn’t separate them. The only thing that was on her mind now was to find a way to escape with Ralph and go back to earth, but it wouldn’t be easy with Luis around.

Lucifer appeared in front of them wearing a white robe. The look on his face showed that he was sleeping before they disturbed him.

"Why did you call me here?" he asked, coldly glaring at Queen Luna, who was gripping her dress tightly.

"He is the one calling you." She replied, pointing at Luis, who bowed slightly.

"Your highness, these sorcerers are trying to leave without doing the job." He declared.

Lucifer turned to look at the sorcerers. His eyes were burning with fury. They were shaking as they stood before him.

"Why didn’t you complete the task?" He asked, looking at Lucinda, who was still laying on the bed, weak.

The leader looked down immediately.

"I am sorry, your highness, but we couldn’t undo the spell." His voice echoed in the house.

"Why couldn’t you?" Lucifer asked in a rumbling tone as his trident appeared on his hand.

"The magic is too strong for us." He protested.

Lucifer was furious as he glared at him. He was already livid that they came to wake him up from sleep and that the sorcerers couldn’t carry out the task he assigned to them.

"Do you know what my master does to anyone that proves to be useless to him?" Luis questioned. The sorcerers started shuddering in terror as one of them grabbed his wand from the floor and tried to disappear.

Lucifer blasted all of them with his trident, and they all turned into ashes and evaporated in the air.

"Why did you do that?" Lucinda asked softly.

"That’s what I do to useless people." He replied, walking over to Lucinda on the bed.

"Get up. why are you lying like that?" he inquired.

"I can’t get up, I am weak." She mumbled.

He held her hand and transferred strength to her. She got up from the bed immediately and stared at him.

"Aren’t you sleeping before? You can go. I will take care of things here." She beamed.

"Are you chasing me away?" he inquired, raising a brow.

"Think whatever you want, but your health is more important." She beamed with a toothy smile, making him smile back at her.

"Now I know you care for me a lot, I promise you I will set things right." He assured.

"I know you will." She replied. He glared at Queen Luna and disappeared.

"Whew!" Queen Luna sighed in relief, putting her hand on her chest.

"Are you happy that he is gone?" Luis asked.

"Not really." She replied as she scurried away.

"Come back here. I am not done talking to you." Luis stated as the other witch followed them out.
