His eyes followed her hand as she put the money in her pocket.
"Are you sure you don’t want to buy more?" he inquired as she extended her hand to him.
"No," she replied bluntly. He took the money from her and brought out a small white bag with the drug in it. Lucinda snatched it from him immediately.
She attempted to walk away when he pulled a gun from his pocket and pointed it at her head. She put her hands in the air.
"Give me all the money you have." He demanded.
Lucinda chuckled.
"Is this how you rob people?" she inquired with a smirk.
"That is none of your business. Give me the money." He stated.
"What if I don’t give you?" she inquired.
"I will pull the trigger." He threatened, she smiled, and turned back slowly.
"Not today." She muttered as she punched him hard in the face and teleported back to the kitchen.
"Stupid humans." She cursed as she dropped the bag on the counter and started arranging the tea on the shelf.
She put water in a kettle, put it on the gas, and switched it on.
Minutes later, she finished making the tea and put it in a white tea cup and walked outside the kitchen to the bedroom when she saw Ralph sleeping on the bed.
"He is sleeping again, not this time." She mumbled as she walked over to him and dropped the tea in the top drawer next to him.
"Wake up." She muttered as she sat next to him on the bed, patting his face for him to wake up. He opened his eyes immediately and sat up on the bed.
"What took you so long? I was bored to death. That’s why I fell asleep." He muttered.
"There was no tea ingredient in the kitchen, so I went to get it." She replied. She grabbed the tea and put it closer to his mouth. He grasped her hand along with the tea cup and took a sip before taking it from her and starting drinking.
Lucinda was just staring at him, lost in thought. Ralph paused and stared at her.
"Why didn’t you make one for yourself?" he inquired.
"I forgot to make one." She beamed.
"Don’t worry, let’s share mine." He muttered and tried to put the cup in her mouth, but she pushed it away with her hand.
"No, it’s your tea. I made it for you, you should have it." She protested.
"I want you to also taste it." He insisted.
"No, it’s fine. I will just make mine." She muttered, stroking her hair back shyly. Ralph was wondering why she didn’t want to taste the tea, but he didn’t pay attention to her. He drank the tea.
Minutes later.
"I want to go and take a bath." Ralph declared as he got up from the bed.
"Okay." Lucinda muttered, watching him go, wondering why the drug hadn’t started working yet. Ralph was about to open the door when he staggered backwards. She quickly ran to him and supported him.
