BOMB

Ralph paused as he heard the ticking sound.

"Can you hear that?" he asked, staring at Lucinda.

"Hear what?" she asked, absent-mindedly.

"It sounds like something is counting more like a bomb." Ralph remarked, looking around the room as he started moving all the desks and chairs around the room.

"I don’t hear anything." Lucinda muttered.

"Just relax and try to hear." He replied flatly. She sighed and rested her ear as she started hearing the sound.

Ralph let go of the chair, which fell to the ground, and started using his x-ray vision to scan the room.

He sighted a bomb in the corner of the room and rushed there. It was covered with clothes. He started using his hand to remove the clothes and spotted the bomb. It was huge as he stared at it. Lucinda ran over to him and sighted the bomb too. She gasped, putting her hand in her mouth.

"You are right, it is a bomb." Lucinda muttered. Ralph stared at the time. There were 2 minutes remaining and the time was still counting.

"Who put this here? Why will someone try to destroy our company?" Lucinda asked as Ralph grabbed the bomb, lifting it up with great difficulty as he grunted his teeth.

"Is it that heavy?" Lucinda inquired.

"It is very heavy." He replied, putting it on his shoulder.

"So what should we do with it now?"  Lucinda asked.

"If we leave it here, we will all die," He stated.

"Then you have to take it somewhere far away." Lucinda muttered. Ralph stared at the timer. There were 32 seconds remaining.

"I have to go, you need to find out who put this here." he stated and disappeared with the bomb.

Lucinda started sweating profusely as she made her way out of the house, putting her hand on her head and remembering the two suspicious men she met in the room before.

She started walking with great speed in the passage, opening every room to ask the employees if they had seen those men.

After looking around the floor, she decided to go to the main area to look for them.

She entered the elevator with other employees who seemed to be gossiping.

"Have you guys perhaps seen two men, wearing blue overalls?" she inquired.

"No, we haven’t." they replied, staring at her in a jealous manner.

Lucinda rested in the elevator away from the people.

Ralph stared at the time and started running deep into the woods with the bomb. He started panting as he paused to catch his breath. He stared at the timer. There were only 10 seconds remaining. He spread his legs on the ground and lifted the bomb as he spun it in the air and threw it into the wood.

He started running away as he heard a loud noise in the woods. All the birds and creatures started running out of the woods with him.

He sighed and teleported back to the room. He walked out of the room and started looking around for Lucinda.
