We can't get married

"No, go and bathe. How am I sure you have even brushed your teeth?" She muttered, lifting her upper lip in disgust.

"I have." He insisted trying to hold her.

"Just go!!" She exclaimed.

"If I finish bathing, I will still have that kiss." He declared and walked away.

Medusa sat on the couch looking around the house as she grabbed the remote and switched on the TV.

"I don't know what to do, I can't let him waste money on clothes we are not going to wear." She muttered to herself as she changed the channel.

Minutes later,

he sneaked up to her on the couch and kissed her on the cheek.

"You are here." She beamed, touching his face.

"Of course, silly," he teased.

"So let's go." He stated, walking towards the door.

"Wait for me, there is something I want to tell you." She muttered, running after him as he increased his pace.

"Wait!! Why are you playing hard to get?" She inquired, running after him.

He stood in front of his house staring at her as he brought out his car key.

Medusa ran to him, slowly catching her breath with her hand on her knee.

He weirdly stared at her.

"Why are you breathing like that? You haven't run a great distance." He teased.

She looked up at him, sweating.

"It's been a long time since I ran." She replied.

"No wonder." He muttered as he started running towards his car.

"Wait!" Medusa inquired as he turned to look at her.

"What the matter? You are acting weird or do you want me to carry you?" He teased.

"Hell no, that's not what I want." She protested as he started walking towards her. She wanted to tell him everything before it was too late.

He stood in front of her as she stood up, avoiding his gaze.

"What do you want to tell me?" He inquired, raising a brow.

"The thing is..." She paused.

"What?" He asked, with his mouth hanging loosely.

"We can't get married!!" She stated bluntly.

He opened his mouth wide in surprise as he walked closer to her.

"I think I didn't hear what you just said." He muttered, poking his hand into his ear.

"We can't get married. I am sorry." She apologized, avoiding his gaze.

He pulled her closer to him with her breast on his chest.

She was still looking away from him as he wrapped his hand around her.

He lifted her face, staring into her eyes.

"Say that again." He declared.

"I can't get married to you," she repeated.

"Why?" He asked bluntly. Her eyes were shaking as she tried not to look at him, but he didn't want to let go of her face.

"I can't tell you the reason." She muttered, swaying in his arms.

"If you don't tell me, how will I know the reason you don't want to get married." He said and let go of her as he held her shoulder.

"Is it because the marriage is too early?" He inquired.
