"But sir.." Ralph cut in.
"Are you the Police." he snared
"Lift the camera, let's get a glimpse of his face. This is the CEO of ED. The funniest thing is that he doesn't know what started the fire. Hilarious right?" The reporter stated.
Ralph gnashed his teeth and pushed Lucinda aside.
He grabbed the camera from the cameraman and smashed it on the floor.
"So tell me what you are going to video now?" Ralph Inquired
"You are so cruel, I am going to sue you." She threatened.
"Good luck with that," Ralph replied.
The roof of the building fell off and wanted to land on them.
Ralph grabbed Lucinda and moved out of the way with her. They both landed on the floor, rolling away from the roof.
The police started marshaling the people that came to watch the company burn.
Ralph got up, dusting his clothes. He extended his hand to Lucinda, who grasped his hand and got up on her feet.
"So what are we going to do? The fire extinguisher is not doing anything." Lucinda muttered, staring at the water the fire extinguisher was pouring, but it was more like fuel. The fire was increasing.
The fire burst and touched a fire extinguisher in the arm.
Lucinda turned to look at Ralph and held his hand. His eyes were filled with tears ready to come out.
Seeing this side of him left a hole in her heart. All the employees had already gone home.
Ralph knew that it would take a lot of time to build another company.
"Come here," Lucinda mumbled, and hugged him. Her head was reaching for his chest. She wrapped her hand around his waist..
"This is just a crisis. It will pass." She muttered into his ribcage. She licked her lips and left a stain on his chest as she disentangled from the hug and stared at him. She stretched her.
hand to clean the tears in his eyes.
"Who ever did this will pay and I will surely find out." He stated, clenching his fists, his eyes were burning with fury.
A policeman walked over to them and said
"Sir, do you know what started the fire?" He asked, holding a jotter.
"I don't know," Ralph replied.
Lucinda held Ralph's hand tightly, staring at the company which was burning continuously, not caring if any one was around it.
"Let's get out of here. The heat is too much. Everyone has already left," Lucinda muttered.
"I don't want to go. You can go." He replied flatly.
Lucinda didn't want to go without him, but it seems Ralph wanted to watch the company burn till it turned to ashes.
Lucinda started feeling dizzy. She held her head. She removed Ralph's hand from hers immediately.
Ralph looked down at her and was trying to grasp her hand again when Lucinda vanished right before his eyes.
"Lu...Lucinda where are you?" He inquired, looking around, but there was no sign of her. He was the only one there.
