Mom's husband

"I was in the bedroom." Lucinda replied, scratching her head.

Ralph put the food on top of the table.

"Come and eat. You are seducing me standing there." Ralph muttered, sitting in front of the food.

Lucinda looked down at her clothes.

"No!!" she yelled, touching the clothes.

"What is the matter?" Ralph asked, raising an eyebrow.

She put her hand on her face. She went to hell wearing that.

She walked over to Ralph on the couch and sat close to him, staring at the food.

Ralph handed her a spoon and they both started eating.

Minutes later

Ralph's phone started ringing. He cleaned his mouth with a handkerchief and got up from the couch.

"Where are you going? You haven’t finished eating." Lucinda mumbled.

"I will be back." Ralph muttered and strolled to the bedroom. He had called his mother before, but she didn’t pick up the call.

"Hello," he muttered, waiting to hear the person’s voice because it was an unknown number.

"Hello, it’s me, son. I just saw your call." He heard Mrs Silver’s voice.

"But this is not your number." Ralph stated.

"I lost my phone." She muttered."

I wanted to ask you about your husband. Didn’t you say his name was Maxwell?" Ralph inquired.

"Yes, he is. Why are you asking?" she asked.

"I met someone with a similar name. Can you send me his picture?" Ralph stated.

"I don’t have his picture, my son, but you can go and look for it in my room in the top drawer." Mrs Silver replied.

"Okay mom, bye, love you." Ralph muttered and hung up before Mrs Silver could utter a word. He walked out of the room and saw that Lucinda had eaten all the food.

"You ate without me." Ralph stated.

"I was hungry." She replied bluntly.

"I have to go check something out. I will be back." Ralph replied and started walking to his mom’s room. He opened the door and entered. He looked around the room and sighted the top drawer.

He saw a small box there and carried it down. He sat on the bed and opened the box. He saw pictures of his mom and then the picture of her husband with her. He recognized the man he had just met. He let go of the picture and it fell back into the box.

"I will have to take my revenge on him." Ralph muttered, clenching his fists. He always wanted to take revenge on the man who abandoned his mom.

"Why are you so grumpy?" Lucinda asked as she walked into the room.

"I am not grumpy can you believe that man is my mom’s husband." Ralph stated, showing her the picture.

"Are you for real?" Lucinda inquired taking the picture from him.

"Yes, and I want to take revenge on him for what he did to her." Ralph muttered.

Lucinda took the box from him and put the picture inside. She dropped the box on the floor.

"I am so sleepy." She muttered and jumped on his body on the bed.
