"Are you playing with me?" Mr Maxwell asked bluntly.
"Go and check it. I don't have time to lie." Ralph said, folding his hand. Lucinda was staring at him, wondering what he was up to.
"I don't believe you. Boys, go and check it out." Mr Maxwell stated, and all his goons started walking side by side out of the house.
"Stay back, one of you." Mr. Maxwell declared.
One of them halted and stood at the door.
"Let go of my friends; they have nothing to do with this." Ralph stated.
"I am not letting go of them till I get confirmation from my goons." Mr Maxwell said, with his head held high.
Ralph looked back slowly at the goon standing at the door. He flew at him and kicked him in the stomach.
The goon held his stomach and fell out of the house.
Ralph shut the door immediately and started walking towards Mr Maxwell, flexing his muscles.
"Stay away from me or I will also inject him with the poison." He threatened by putting a syringe close to Hudson's neck.
"You can't do it," Ralph stated, as he saw his hand shaking.
"I did it to that lady lying there. Do you think I can't do it?" Mr Maxwell asked.
"Yes, because if he falls unconscious, you won't have someone to use." Ralph replied.
Mr Maxwell's face flushed as he let go of Hudson, whose hands and legs were tied. Lucinda rushed to Hudson and started untying the rope when Mr Maxwell stood behind her, trying to hold her when Lucinda lifted her hand and used it to hit him on the dick.
He staggered backward and bumped into Ralph as they started hearing knocks on the door.
"Break the door open!!" Mr Maxwell yelled just as Ralph held his hand tightly and punched him hard in the face.
Mr. Maxwell held his face staring at Ralph, who pushed him on the couch just as Lucinda and Hudson moved away from the couch.
Ralph put his leg on Mr Maxwell's lap, staring at him as his goons started kicking the door trying to break it open.
"What have I done to you? I thought we had made a deal." Mr Maxwell stuttered.
"A deal? Do you think I am a kid or what? Who goes on a dangerous mission without getting paid?" Ralph asked, poking his chest.
"I think you did that because you are greedy. You didn't want to pay me because I might likely die, so to be on the safe side, you didn't want to pay me in advance." Ralph stated.
"I am sorry. I know I was selfish, but I promise I am going to pay you now. All I need is the statue." He muttered with his lips trembling. Ralph smirked and removed sweat from his face.
"The statue you will never get." Ralph snarled.
"What do you mean by that?" Mr Maxwell asked.
"Isn't it obvious? I am not going to give you?" Ralph asked, clenching his fists.
