The Truth 4

"Wait! Don't go! You don't know how to use the antidote!" Mr Maxwell yelled.

Ralph turned to look at him.

"Shut your mouth hole," he stated, and continued walking.

"What about the statue?" Mr Maxwell yelled.

Ralph didn't answer him and hastened his footsteps.

He hurried into the house and handed the antidote to Lucinda, who opened it immediately. Hudson raised Medusa from the floor and sat her on the couch, stopping her so she wouldn't fall.

Lucinda put her hand on Medusa's chin and wanted to pour the antidote into her mouth when Ralph held her hand.

"Read the instructions," Ralph muttered.

"Instructions what?" Lucinda said, with her mouth hanging loosely.

Ralph took it from her and glanced at the side of the bottle, looking at the small paper at the side.

"Three drops of the poison on the tongue of the infected person." Ralph stated, narrowing his eyes to read the paper.

"Oh, that's an instruction." Lucinda remarked, taking it back from Ralph.

She slowly poured the antidote into her mouth, making sure it was only three drops.

"This is ridiculous. How can only three drops of the antidote make her wake?" Hudson inquired.

"That's what's written there, so we must follow it. We just have to wait for her to wake up." Ralph stated.

Hudson started stroking Medusa's back.

"How did you get the antidote?" Lucinda asked.

"That's not important." Ralph replied.

They all watched Medusa as the colour of her body slowly turned back to normal.

"It's working," Lucinda muttered.

"Babe, wake up." Hudson said, tapping Medusa on the face.

Lucinda stared at one of the goons on the floor who was starting to wake up and grabbed his leg. She started pulling him out of the house.

Ralph followed her, dragging two other goons by the legs out of the house.

They left them on the front porch and carried the other ones out.

Medusa slowly opened her eyes and stared at Hudson. He didn't allow her to talk when he crashed his lips on hers, kissing her softly and paused as her tongue touched his.

"Do you think they remember we are here?" Lucinda asked, staring at Ralph.

"Just let them enjoy their moment." He replied.

"He is so romantic." Lucinda muttered, rolling her eyes at him.

Hudson broke the kiss and spat on the floor.

"What is wrong?" Medusa asked bluntly.

He screwed up his face.

"I just tasted the bitter antidote." He whined, and they all burst into laughter.

Ralph put his hand around Lucinda's shoulder.

"Guys, we will get going." Ralph stated bluntly.

"Why? Stay for dinner." Medusa declared.

"No, we have something we need to take care of." Ralph replied.

"But my qu..." Hudson cut in.

"Let them go," he muttered.

"Alright, goodbye," Medusa said, with her eyebrows lowered and pulled together.

"Bye." Lucinda waved at her with a cute smile and walked out of the house with Ralph.

"Where are we going?" Lucinda asked.

"We are going to Deacon's cave to get rid of that statue," Ralph answered.
