"Don't listen to him; save only me." Ralph declared, staring at Lucinda.
Lucinda was stuck between a rock and a hard place. She gripped tightly to her hair, staring at the two of them. It was like a test that would determine her future, and she wouldn't be able to leave Luis there.
"You can't get him out of here; it's your mission to kill him." Luis stated.
Ralph tried his best to ignore what Luis was saying. He had made up his mind that if Lucinda save the both of them, that meant he was the fool all along and Deacon and Luis were actually right.
Lucinda was crying as she gazed at both of them.
"What are you waiting for? Help me out of here. You love me, don't you?" Ralph asked in a cold tone, and the quicksand was on their neck now. They were trying their best to keep their hands inside.
Lucinda ran away and into the forest like a madwoman looking for a rope to save them.
Ralph thought Lucinda had abandoned him and left him to die. Tears started falling down his handsome face. He was devastated and felt betrayed. He didn't know how to react.
"Your precious Lucinda has left the both of us to die." Luis commented and started laughing in an evil way, which made Ralph's eyes twitch as he continued struggling in the quicksand.
Lucinda ran back to them panting. She didn't see any rope, so the only option was for her to reveal her true self to Ralph, that she was a demon. That would be the only way to save him.
"What are you waiting for? Save me!!" Ralph screamed, stretching his hand out of the quicksand.
"Promise me if I save you, you will be with me forever." Lucinda pleaded.
"I promise!" Ralph shouted, He knew he had no choice but to agree to her demand.
Lucinda brought out her beautiful black wings that looked like those of an eagle.
Ralph's jaw dropped. He couldn't believe his eyes. It was too good to be true, so the rumors were actually true. She was a demon all along and he didn't know. He still marveled at how she was able to conceal her identity from him. He thought their relationship was real and that he knew every single thing about her, but he was wrong. He was a fool after all. Lucinda's tears were like pearls as they streamed down her pale cheeks.
She started flapping her wings in the air as she flew to the both of them, flying in the middle. She extended her hand to both of them. Ralph subconsciously gave her his hand.
Lucinda grabbed their hands and started pulling them out of the quicksand with all her strength, but Luis was too heavy.
She managed to fly, take them away from the quicksand, and let go of their hands. They both fell on the ground, with her body completely covered with mud.
