Hattie applied a red lipstick for finishing touch. She smacked her lips inorder to get it circulated as she stared at the huge mirror in front of her. She relieved her hair from the bun that it was wrapped in and let it cascade down her shoulders. She took one glance at the mirror before making her way out of her room. She made her way down the stairs with her shoe heel making a clicking noise as it took each stride.
She finally reached the sitting room and was faced with a worried looking Anne.
"What's the problem?" Hattie asked as she got closer to where Anne stood and placed her hand slightly on her shoulder
"He just ran off and he doesn't want to come back in" Anne replied with a scowl on her face
"Oh dear" Hattie said as she held her head slightly bowing down. She made her way outside "Xavier! Xavier" she called out. She heard tiny footsteps afterwards and she knew that he was approaching. She finally caught a glimpse of him as he ran towards her
He got to where she was, breathless. His hair was all over his face and some stuck to his face as a result of how much he was sweating. He looked up to her with his tiny face as he pouted slighted. He sure knew that he was in big trouble
Hattie stood hands akimbo as she looked at him. Now she had to get him ready again. He already messed himself up
"What did mummy tell you about running out without telling anyone?" Hattie asked
"You said, never to step outside, if I wasn't permitted to" his tiny voice came forth and he bowed slightly
"Glad you remembered, now you will go over to aunty Anne and apologize for running out on her" Hattie said and watched as he ran back in. She smiled slightly as he watched him. Her only memory of Javier and she cherished him alot. He took over Javier alot, judging from his physical looks. His eyes, his hair, his face. They were all the exact replica of Javier's.
She got back to the sitting room and was faced with Anne who had a wide smile on her face as she looked at Xavier
"It's okay I forgive you" she said with the smile not leaving her face
"come let's get you changed" Hattie beckoned on Xavier and he came running toward her.
"I'm sorry, mummy" he said
"I know, you won't do again right?" Hattie asked and he nodded with a smile

Hattie stopped the car at the entrance of Bella's house and she turned to look at Anne and Xavier
"let's go in" she said and they all alighted from the car. It was her birthday and she was celebrating it at Bella's. It was actually Xavier's idea. He was bent on seeing his Aunt, so he jumped on the opportunity as soon as it was offered.
Daphne had called her a couple of times to ask if she was still going to make it. It was her birthday for goodness sake. She was definetly going to make it.
They all got out of the car and they all made their way to Bella house. Hattie opened the door and they all worked in.
The house was already in party mode. Redecorated and a huge "happy birthday Hattie" poster was pasted by the wall. The atmosphere was quite bubbly with a mild music playing at the background. She almost teared as a result of how they went so far inorder to get her a perfect birthday
"And the birthday girl is finally here" Daphne chanted and they all turned to look at her. Bella, Anne, Felix, Daphne and some other people that Hattie hadn't really met before
"Aunt Bella" Xavier exclaimed as he left Hattie side and ran towards Bella, giving her a big hug. Bella staggered slightly as a result of the force he had used to embrace her
"You've grown so much, Xavier. I can't even lift you up any longer" she said with a smile on her face and looked up to Hattie. " They grow up so fast" she said and Hattie nodded in agreement
"Now you are here, let's get this party fucking started!" Daphne exclaimed and Hattie rolled her eyes at her playfully
The music became intense and they all danced to it. All except from Hattie. No matter how much she tried to she smiled or laugh, it didn't hide the fact that she was aching on the inside. She missed him, more than words could ever explain. It had been four years since he departed but the wound in her chest still felt fresh. She looked around as everyone partied hard, but she still didn't feel the urge to join in. This was sadly how her life had become through the four years that passed by. Loneliness and constant thinking was her daily medicine. Xavier was her only source of hope and she wondered what she would have done if he wasn't in in her life.
She watched at he sneakily kept on pinching the huge birthday cake and Hattie smiled at his cuteness. Her little bundle of joy, she always addressed him as
The party went on and after some time it was finally time to cut the cake. They all gathered around the table that the cake stood and Hattie could see the little hole all over the cake, thanks to Xavier
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday happy birthday
Happy birthday to you......
They all sang and Hattie smiled warmly
"Alright time to blow out the candles" Daphne called out when they all finished singing. "Make a wish" Daphne added
Hattie closed eyes. She had just wanted one wish, she wished the pain could fade away, she wished her source of joy could come back to her and above all, she wished Javier could come back to her. She stayed eyes closed for a while. She didn't want to open them anymore. She would face reality once more and she would go back to her depressed self, but she couldn't hide forever
She opened her eyes slowly and raised her head slowly, but to her surprise, everyone was gone. She looked around and she was in a garden. Her and Javier's proclaimed favourite spot in his house. How did she get here? She wondered. She tried to rack her Brain on how she was able to get here just by closing her eyes.
"Happy birthday Hattie" she heard from behind her and her heart skipped a beat. That voice. That familiar voice. Why was she hearing it?. She was too scared, she didn't want to turn around. Could it be that she was hallucinating?.
She gathered up courage and turned around slowly, with her heartbeat, rapid and loud. She turned around and her mouth dropped. How could it be. This wasn't happening, she thought. She blinked rapidly trying to make sure that she wasn't dreaming
"Hattie" he called out again. Now she was sure that she wasn't dreaming. It was really him. It was really Javier.
"Javier" she whispered slightly, she was too scared to even raise her voice above a whisper. She feared that he might fade off if she did. He smiled at her and walked to her. Dressed in green tuxedo with a flower in his right pocket, he looked like a groom walking down the aisle. He didn't change a bit, he still looked the same.
Hattie was still trying to process the whole thing as she watched him approach her. A whimp escaped from her lips and she suddenly realised that she was actually crying. He stood in front of her, brought his hand to her face and wiped the tears off her face
"It's really you" she sobbed slightly
"Yes Hattie, it's me"
"How?" that was the only word that could come out of her baffled lips
"Lets just say that I was giving a second chance" he said and smiled at Hattie warmly and Hattie smiled back amidst tears
"Our son definitely took your eyes" Javier said looking intently at Hattie, with his thumb slowly carresing her cheek and Hattie smiled
"This feels like a dream. It's almost unbelievable. How could you be here after four years." Hattie said with disbelief in her voice
"This would be a prove of reality" Javier said, he bent down to her level and their lips met. The moment their lips met, Hattie's problems flew away. She kissed him back with their lips gliding simultaneously. Her wish came true. She was finally with the source of her happiness. Javier was here with her and that was what she had wanted for the past four years. To hold him to her self and tell him how much she loved him.
He was finally here, her love, her life, her hope, her breath, her joy and most importantly her STALKER
