Chapter 72

Anna was broken. She didn't know what to say. The moment was sour for her.

She looked up at him, right in the eye and cursed him.

"God will punish you.

You are wicked and all that will come to you is wickedness"

She reached out to her phone in tears to call her husband but she doesn't know what she would tell him.

If she tells him what Joseph said will he not have questions for her?

Ones that she may not have answers to, because she would come out one way or the other as a culprit or an accomplice.

"Joseph get out of my house!

She said getting up and moving towards him.

Leave now so that I do not end up commiting murder"

It was no threat because even Joseph could see the fire in her eyes.

Her eyes had the flames of a life time.

It was an unending flame that could burn him if he got close to her and if he allows her get close to him.

He saw her remove the pin from her head and he knew it would be brutal soon.

"Anna I have changed and I want to make up for my sins"

He yelled as he held out his hands in a surrender motion and moved backwards.

"Anna, you changed me.

I have nursed this anger in my mind for years.

"Andrew hurt me and I have not been able to forget but meeting you have done something lots of preachers could not do;

If this is not love then I don't know what it is.

Anna continued to move slowly towards him while he also continued to move backwards.

"Anna please calm down let us talk.

I didn't mean to use you like that but then k am being punished already because loving you have made me forget my revenge plan and now all j want is to see you happy, even if you will never love me.

She stopped for a while and she saw him hold her breath, but then she rushed at him and tried to hurt him but he was stronger than she was.

She needed a bigger weapon, her hair pin was not enough.

She screamed on top of her voice and she heard foot steps.

Her guards were coming.

 They must have been listening to the argument but  they just needed a signal and she just gave them one.

They rushed in and saw the way the doctor they had known to be their bosses friend was holding and struggling with the madam of their house and they rushed at him and started to punch him.

They could see tears in Anna's eyes so it was like a wake up call and they knew exactly what to do.

Anna didn't bother stopping them.

She moved back to the kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife.

She had thought about what she was going to do.

She needed to end her past.

She couldn't let him live any more.

He didn't deserve to have a life since he was able to drive someone else to depression.

She found the shortest knife that was really sharp and she started back to the living room where she found the guards still holding him down and maltreating him.

She walked towards them and without hesitation she moved the guards from him.

Looking at his teary eyes. She almost had a second thought about what she was about to do.

"I am so sorry Anna, I really am"

Was the only thing he could say even after they had beaten him up.

She was about to change her mind.

She had not brought the knife out from her side pocket.

The pocket was deep enough to hide it all she needed was be careful so that the knife doesn't hurt her instead.

She stood up changing her mind from killing him.

She moved away from him and signaled the guards to leave.

Joseph sat up on the floor and tried to straighten his shirt.

"I love you Ann"

What happened between us may have been because we were under influence but it wasn't all influence, I felt it, you felt it to.

We wanted it. We both wanted it.

I had initially planned to take it as my revenge plan, but kissing you, touching you, and making love to you have proved to me that I want all of you.

And I don't mind if you do not share in my feelings of love. I just want you to forgive me and not see me as someone who is wicked and wants to hurt you.

I want you to just tell me you have forgiven me so that I can move on with my life.

Please tell me you have forgiven me.

"I will never forgive you!

She finally turned to face him.

He was standing up now.

His clothes were all straightened up.

She looked around her. She was alone in the house and it was all because of him. He had created that emptiness in her life.

He created a hole that was so deep in her heart and he filled them with unforgettable hurt.

"My house Is empty now because of you.

Everybody is away trying to find a remedy to a problem we do not have and here you are standing and asking for forgiveness?

We had a family meeting of all the Anderson's today because of the lies you told and you think we can forgive you.

If forgiveness is all you seek, then you should know that you will never get it.

Never from me, my husband, my family nor my daughter.

It seemed to shock him when she mentioned her daughter, like he actually loves her.

Joseph moved close to her, she stood and watched him but then he held her shoulders and pleaded.

"Anna please.

And just like and impulse, she shook her hand to get his hands away from her, he made a move to come to her again and she brought out the pen knife and stabbed his side.

He moved back a d then she became scared.
