Anna was so eager to find out what happened to Joseph and how it happened that he was dead, she couldn't discuss it with Andrew who seem to still be interested in fucking her all over again.

"Are you not satisfied? She asked, she could already feel pain in her stomach, it was no longer looking cute, she needed to talk to doctor Raji, because the pain in her stomach wouldn't stop, she also didn't want to offend Andrew so she pretended to make her pain. Look very real.

"This is so painful, awuuu" she cried and just as she had planned, it made him sit up on the bed, held her close and started checking her for any injuries.

"Are you okay? 

He asked, still checking her, she nodded her head as to say No. It was just that she was exaggerating what was happening to her, but still, she was really in pain.

"I'll go get the doctor" he said as he limped out naked, he realized he was naked with just his short on, he had to limo back to the hospital and dressed up, she continued to pretend that the pain was excruciating, but the moment he was out of sight, she sat in the bed and started smilling to herself, she couldn't believe what mind blowing sex they just had a d she also could not believe that the father of her unborn child was dead.

"It serves him right" she said convincing herself that she didn't feel bad that he was dead, but I'm a second thought, she remembered that Joseph had been driven by his quest for revenge.

She suddenly felt bad that she didn't get to tell him that she was carrying his child, she was only avoiding future interference, she really felt bad that he had to die, but how did he just die? The news came up again on the screen TV that was now showing the early hours new, she listened carefully and concluded that two things were involved.

"Either Joseph got depressed and killed himself, or the Anderson killed him for what he did to their son.

She decided not to speak out loud not try to find out further so that her name would not pop up in the investigation, but she was not going to last long living happy, she got a call from Miles who said the police had been at their place saying she killed Joseph, they said there is a CCTV footage where she went to the station where he died.

Anna could not believe her ears, she hadn't even visited the station, she didn't know where that was coming from, she looked at the clock, it was still the early hours of the morning, she needed to get back home to understand what they were saying.

"No, don't come now, stay where you are, there must be a mixup, we have told them that you were at home all through, and that you just left to be with your husband at the hospital, but they were saying you are the first person with a motive since you had initially attempted to kill him by stabbing him on the spine"

Anna could not help but agree more, since she had tried to kill him before she should be the first person that they would suspect, she had tried to kill him because she could not relax knowing he had slept with her and annoyingly she had loved it and wouldn't have minded if they had such moment again.

She had also been thinking about him a lot when he started professing love to her, but now that he was dead, she was the first person they would call.

"Has he been calling you? Miles voice brought her back to the present.

What do you mean? She asked.

"They said that they checked his phone and you were the only person he had called more this past few days.

"Yes he was calling to apologise" she said, she couldn't tell him that he was telling her he loves her after fucking her at his green house, she felt like a bitch, she was used and dumped.

"I will soon be at the hospital with mum and Dad, don't let Andrew suspect anything, father is holding them, preventing them from coming to you, I will call you as soon as we start coming, but just prepare your mind, there would be questions but we will protect you" he said and ended the call.

Miles was worried for her because she had actually attempted to murder Joseph once and she could not deny it, she also didn't have regrets.

Andrew an doctor Raji still walked back in, Anna knew they must have taken time to get back in because Andrew was limping, doctor said he would soon be able to walk well, that it was one of the reactions after a coma and he would soon be fit again 

"Are you okay? He asked and she nodded, she had more problems now, just faking pain was no longer enough to keep her mind at distress, and now it was not only her stomach that ached, all her body was aching her now, she wanted to cry, but following what Miles said, she didn't want Andrew to know about it.

"What happened? The doctor asked again, and Andrew shamelessly told him.

"We were having sex and all of a sudden after we were done, she said she was having pain"

Anna looked at him and felt like smacking his head, what an explanation. 

Doctor Raji looked around the room and could only guess the sort of crazy sex that had happened in the room.

"This is a hospital, not a hotel" he joked, come with me, he said as he led Anna to his office with Andrew following from behind.

In his office there was a bed, where he checks most patients that come to him, he asked her to lay down which she did, he pressed her pelvice area and massaged her stomach, she could still feel the pain.

"I will call the gynecologist now, he will run a scan on you and I will take it from there.

The gynecologist was called upon and the scan was done.

Doctor Joshua wanted to know if Anna wanted to know about her baby, position and all so he started by saying.

"You may wish to find out early in your pregnancy if your baby is at increased risk of a serious health condition by having a screening test in your first trimester (the first 3 months of pregnancy).

That is what we are going to do now, but so you know, 

The test combines results from a blood test and an ultrasound to assess the risk of having a baby with Down syndrome.

Anna wanted to ask what he meant by down syndrome, but even her own syndrome was down, her morale was down, she was down. So she just allowed him continue.

"This test can detect some other abnormalities and may also tell if you have a multiple pregnancy, for example twins. The screening test does not usually detect spina bifida.

The thought of multiple pregnancy scared her, she didn't even want to think about it, one was enough problem for her, having two of whom their father was dead would be a crazy blow, she waved the feeling aside.

The first trimester screening test is done between 9 weeks to 13 weeks 6 days of your pregnancy.

" This test, or the second trimester screening test (done in the second 3 months of pregnancy), can help you decide if you want a diagnostic test.

As both the first and second trimester tests screen for similar conditions it is not recommended that you have both.

Many women have their screening test as early as possible, in their first trimester, to find out if there could be a problem.

However if you are too late for the first trimester test  you may find a second trimester test valuable.

"So can you just go ahead with the test already? Anna was getting really impatient with all the stories he was giving her.

She felt she must have offended him, doctors from this side always want to explain so that the patient can be accustomed to what they were doing.

She was no illiterate so she really didn't need all the lecture, but seeing the way the doctors face changed, because of her earlier outburst, she decided to ask a different question.

How is the test done? She asked, that brought a spark on the gynecologist face as he began to explain again.

The first trimester test involves 2 measurements:

A sample of your blood is taken at a pathology collection centre between 9 weeks to 13 weeks 6 days of your pregnancy, but ideally between 9 to 12 weeks.

This test is used to check the levels of 2 hormones in your blood that change during pregnancy (free B-hCG and PAPP-A). Changes in these levels can indicate a serious chromosomal condition.

An ultrasound is done between 11 weeks to 13 weeks 6 days of pregnancy, ideally at 12 to 13 weeks.

She was just in the third month, she didn't need all these, but she kept her thought to herself.

The ultrasound allows the thickness of fluid in an area behind the baby’s neck to be measured.

She took a look at Andrew, This area, known as nuchal translucency, is often larger in babies with Down syndrome. I will also take some measurements to calculate your developing baby’s gestational age (age in weeks and days).

While a computer program will combine

these test results plus your exact age, weight and your baby’s correct gestational age, to identify  the risk of your baby having Down syndrome, Trisomy 13 and Trisomy.

He finally stopped talking and started with the ultrasound, he didn't talk till he was done, he only spoke when he point at the screen to tell her that was her babies heart beating and other parts of the body.

He printed the result out from the same machine and handed it over to Andrew, since Anna didn't seem interested in the result.

She dressed herself properly a d with a glass of water, she felt a bit relaxed, but was really anxious, she wanted to know what would happen in few hours, but she didn't even have few hours, doctor Raji called her out from his office, just after she finished dressing and said.

"Some police men are here to see you Mrs Andrew?
