Chapter 152
Anna woke up in a sweat, she just had the most scariest dream ever, she rushed down the stairs, but found no one.
She wondered where Joseph went to, he could not have gone far, she decided to wait in the living room for him, she waited for hours, but he did not come.
She was scared of going outside, she didn't want to get into any trouble, she haven't even used her phone since she came back, she looked around the room and started going round, she opened every door in the house and looked in to every corner, but a particular area caught her interest, it was his study, she saw very many colourful books that caught her interest, she kept flipping through it, then something on the wall caught her eyes, it was a picture of her sleeping, under the picture was written in bold letters.
"TO THE ONLY PERSON I WAS ABLE TO FALL INLOVE WITH, BUT WHO DOES NOT LOVE ME BACK"
She looked at the picture again and it was a picture from that night, she remembered wearing that dress that night.
The memories of that night came back hunting her, she felt a cold breeze blow her hair, she wondered if he fell inlove with her after taking his revenge on her or was it before taking the revenge.
She looked at the picture again and looked away almost immediately, she found a brown leathered covered book, it was his diary, she became tempted to read, she opened the first page and it was dated years ago, even before she came into the picture, she flipped it and went to the next page till she came to the recent write up, her name was what made it recent to her.
"I never thought j could fall inlove with her, my aim was to take revenge on her husband, using her, but I fell for her instead, now I am the one receiving the reward of my revenge"
She thought about what she read, for a while. She shook her head because she didn't want to think too much about it, she wanted to hate him, but instead she was begining to feel pity for him.
"Oh God what have I gotten myself into, why can't I stop thinking about her, why can't I unlove her, why is it so hard for me to not think about her?
Anna smiled wearily at that, she could relate such a feeling was akward, but then she became too interested that she began to flip, but then she heard the door, she covered the diary and rushed down, she did not want him to know she had been in the study, she smiled at him as she descended the stairs.
"Where have you been, I was scared, you just left without a word.
" I am sorry, I was just emm, you know, I had to see my uncle, I needed to know what is happening with your husband.
" Stop calling him my husband, he cannot be called my husband when all he thinks towards me is to kill me.
I just wish my daughter could be brought here for me.
" I could bring her for you if you want? He said and looked away.
" That would be too risky" she said.
"I don't mind taking risk for you to be happy, just anything to make you happy would make me happy.
He had finished talking when he realized he was letting his feelings get the better part of him.
"Emm, I mean, I would do anything to pay for my sins, it is my fault that all this is happening to you, I feel terrible, but k want to make it up to you by all means, please forgive me.
" Oh please, don't worry about that, I know why you did what you did, if I were in your shoes, I might probably do same, but that is by the way now, what is done is done.
"What is done can never be forgiven" he said and she replied.
"And it can never be undone.
I am at fault, please do not make excuses for me" he said and looked away.
They soon fell silent, but he spoke up first.
"You must be hungry, I will make you something now"
" No let me make it" she said.
"You are pregnant, you should be pampered, you have been through a lot, what you n Ed is rest, let me be the one to make it, please.
He pleaded and she nodded in agreement. Truth be told, she was not even ready to do anything, she just wanted to relax, now that she started relaxing, it felt like she should never do anything.
"Thank you" she said, he paused looked at her and left without a word.
"She should not be thanking me, I should be thanking him for giving me this much of an opportunity to be close to her.
He rushed to the kitchen, while the meal was on fire, he rushed down to set the table, rushed to his study to write something in his diary and rushed back to serve the food
He was working like a maid, but he was really happy to be her maid.
He came down with the diary, when Anna saw it, her heart skipped a beat, she thought her little act had been discovered.
She looked away as if her looks would give her away, but as she ate, he was busy writing, she could not wait to read what was written in the diary.
She soon finished eating.
I am not satisfied, she said shamelessly and he rushed to get her some more, when he got more, she started eating and he just sat watching her from the corners of his eyes.
He soon picked his diary and started writing again.
"He must think I am a glutton, I must read what he has written" she thought.
Why can't I get satisfied, she said, hoping to convince him that it has to do with her pregnancy, plus she was carrying two babies, she should be eating for two.

He was findingbit really difficult to look into her eyes, they seem to hold more charms than her voice, but when ever she is not looking, he would always steal a glance or two at her, thanks to his glasses, they hide so well.
"But you have taken two plates" he defended.
"But those two plates were rationed, it is more like you are serving a crowd of people and you want it to get to everyone, I mean those two plates you served me are not even up to one"
Joseph started laughing out loud, it was so funny, what she said that Joseph couldn't stop laughing.
He could not remember the last time he laughed so well, she was indeed funny and fun to be with.
Some how, Anna was happy he was smiling, he must have been sad for a really long time, but this is not exactly why she was happy too.
She was happy because she hadn't had anyone to talk to for some time now, she just wants to forgive him and move past what has happened.
He grabbed his diary again and started writing, her mind went there, she could not wait to read what was being written in the diary.
"I have been meaning to ask you" she said distracting him. He looked up at her to get what she wants to say.

Joseph didn't want to tell her all that had happened, he also didn't want her to feel bad about any of the Andersons, so he kept quiet.
"It is not a good take, I don't think you will find it interesting.

I love stories a lot, you know I used to like to write, but I just can't write all those long books, so I prefer to read instead, so if you think story telling us not fun, then try me, I am a good listener.

I woke up after three days when j was supposed to be dead, I found one of my uncle who I thought was also dead with me in a dark room, with doctor Walter, I was shocked to find them, I thought we were all dead because I know Doctor Walter killed me, but finding him with me, I thought the same persons that asked him to kill me also killed him. So I just watch them discuss, they were worried why I wasn't awake, I later found out that, they faked my death, my uncle gave Doctor Walter a potion to add to the syringe he gave to me that was supposed to kill me, so j was supposed to be unconscious, like in a serious coma for days.
I was confirmed dead, but after three days I woke up in the dark room and they disguised me a d brought me to this green house.
Like I said before, this is the only property my parents have and left for me, this is the only place I can hide, not many people know the place, I don't even really know about this place, it is just too big for me to go round, I hope one day I would be able to do a thorough clean up around the house. Some say there is a treasure hidden in this house, but k haven't seen anything till now.
