Chapter 47

" Now what do you say we do that again....and again...and again " he said. Stopping in turn to place a kiss on he lips. She smiled, her face flushed and her breathing heavy. He looked at her, with her hair now wild and her lips slightly parted, she looked like a wanton display of very erotic art.

" Would you like that? " he teased, using his fingers to stroke her wet heat as he waited for her response. She closed her eyes as the pleasure once again began to rise, closing her eyes as she very sensually rubbed herself against him.

" I didn't hear an answer, " he seriously said just as he entered one finger inside her sleek opening. She cried out, wanting more but not getting it.

" Would you like me to go down on you, to taste you until you can no longer take it? "

He removed the finger, only to enter her with two. She nodded vigorously, her eyes still shut as she felt him crook the fingers inside her, earning him another moan from her.

" I'd much prefer it if you used words... m'eudail, "

She couldn't imagine that he had the power to tease her at such a time. But then he quickened his thrusts and she was willing to tell him whatever he wanted to hear as another climax hit.

" Yes... God yes! "

And with that, he went straight to work. Determined to make her come for him as many times as was possible. Because there was no better sound than that of her moans and desperate cries for release. He was certain that they would forever be undoing.

And when he said forever he meant it.....to the very end of eternity if possible.

Multiple orgasms later Nuriel finally let her go to sleep. With a smile on her face she drifted off.

He stayed awake though. It had been several weeks since he slept and he knew that he would soon have to rest. But he was fine with prolonging that future for as long as he could. Because sleep had never been something he enjoyed. And why would he want to drift off? To wander off into a dreamland where the dreams were nothing but haunting memories and nightmares.

No. He'd much rather stay awake and watch as Flame slept. Now THAT was the true dream, and the very unbelievable reality as well. The hours passed until finally dawn arrived. And later it was replaced by the rising sun, light pouring in from the half open windows. She stirred, laying on her back before turning to her side. Then she opened her eyes while frowning. But the frown disappeared the second she laid her eyes on her angel.

Smiling, she turned to face the other side to hide the shade of pink now masking her features.

" Morning, " she said, realising that he had his hand around her waist. The touch, even though it was absentminded, made her feel very much alive.

Instead of a reply, he leaned in and kissed her temple, prolonging the action for as great a time as he could before he pulled away and settled back down on the pillow.

" Don't you ever sleep? " she asked. She had noted that each time she woke up, even if it was by accident in the middle of the night, he was always awake. he ran his other hand up and down her arm. Creating warm shivers that penetrated her skin.

" No. I prefer to stay up and listen. "

" Listen to what? "

" Your heartbeat. "

Facing him, she gave him a questioning look.

" You can hear my heart beat? "

" As clearly as I can hear your lovely voice. "

She chose to believe him. Shaking her head she chuckled. He placed his arm under her head, his intention being to bring her closer. As closer to him as she could be.

" You know who else had super hearing? "

She then asked. A teasing smile playing at the corners of her mouth. He shook his head, asking her who she meant.

" Superman. "

" In the name of the seven dungeons! You're starting to make me think that you might be interested in that fictious character. "

He faked a bored look. Giving an eye roll that Flame found extremely hilarious.

" Are you jealous? "

" Such a reaction is beneath me. I have everything any male could ever possibly want and then some. Come to think of it, I'm the embodiment of perfection in it's most primal form. "

She held back the laughter that wanted to take over. And it was very difficult, especially since he said what he did with a straight face. There wasn't pride in his voice just a confidence that showed that he was very aware of his attributes.

" Jeez angel, your so modest, "

" Aren't I? Just do me a favor and don't tell Kael that I said that, we don't want his ego bruised now do we? "

She gave in to the laughter. While he settled for a subtle smile that reached his eyes. Making them come alive. That was how all his days were supposed to begin. With her bright eyes staring at him with delight, and her laughter echoing in the room. Kissing her forehead, he got off the bed and disappeared into the nourishment chamber. Asking her to stay put. Then he returned with a tray of breakfast in one hand and a book in the other.

The book caught her attention more.

" What's that? "

" It's what I wanted to show you that day in the record room. But you stormed out before I had the chance. "

He handed over the book, setting the tray on her laps afterwards. She looked at it. It hard a lovely red leather hardcover. With golden symbols of curves and dots perfectly embedded on it. She took a while to study the intricate designs before she flipped it open. And on the first page were delicately written words in dark ink. She read them, realising that it was the prophecy that Sheila had recited to her. The one that the Fairy Queen Aurelia had left to the council.

She flipped through several more pages but they were all blank.

" That's all that's on here? " she asked and Nuriel nodded. Seating on the edge of the bed next to her. His wings folded neatly back.

She returned her attention back to the book. Reading the prophecy once again before she decided to give the book back. But then as she read it, she felt a soft breeze as it swept across her. Everything remained in it's place, neither the curtains nor her hair moved from its spot. But she felt it. A soft wind that was also powerful in its gentleness. Her heart skipped a beat as a thrilling peace filled her. It felt very welcoming, making her toes curl underneath the blankets.

She looked around. Then back at her angel.

" Did you feel that? "

" Feel what? "

She looked back at the book. Wondering what exactly that feeling was. It was refreshing, calming and it filled her head with clarity. Yes... she thought, her head. It felt lighter, and more at ease somehow. Like a cleansing spirit had just washed through her.

                           *" daughter of mine...

I have missed you dearly, "*

Flame gasped. A hand covering her mouth as she stared up at the ceiling. The voice was clear, so clear she was certain that she wasn't imagining it.

" Please tell me you heard that! "

Nuriel frowned, wondering what she was referring to.

" Heard what? "

" That... that voice! "

                             " Fear not my child..

She shot her head back to face Nuriel who was beginning to look troubled.

****" For so long I have waited for

you to finally find your way home...

but now the wait is over. "

Nuriel watched as the amber glow of Flame's eyes increased. He shook her shoulder, calling out her name but it didn't seem as if she could hear him. She was staring straight ahead. Her eyes unblinking and her concentration unaltered as she gazed at the empty space in front of her . He wondered what could be going on.

But he, for some reason, was not scared. The concern and fear he expected to feel at her current state was absent. It was as if deep down, he knew that she was unharmed and that nothing bad was going on. He just knew. And something urged him to stay put. A force that was gentle, but at the same time, reminded him of a whrilling wind.

A humming melody that could also easily turn into a thunderstorm.

Calm but fierce.

Flame listened to the voice that spoke in her head. It was an oceans current, sweeping through her with soothing tides.

****" You are brave, daughter of mine,

but more than just bravery is required

                 for what lies ahead.

You have to learn how to be strong.

                 Your senses are the key

just trigger them and you'll see

                 and remember to look

                 where everyone else ignores

                 because sometimes what you're

searching for may be right in front of your sight...
