Flame was stronger, faster, more alert than she had been a few days back. She had discovered new aspects of her abilities that she hadn't been aware of before. Aurelia had let her discover almost everything alone, but on two different instances she had heard the fairy's soft whisper of a voice in her head. Advising her on what to do and how to do it.
It was quite a shame that the fairy wouldn't be able to assist in the long run,she insisted that it was Flame's battle to fight, that it had been written in her fate way before her birth.
Her birth.
Yet another thing that she had been thinking of lately....she wondered how she had come into existence. She wondered how she had even ended up in earth in the first place.
And the thoughts had been preoccupying her mind so much she decided that the next time she felt Aurelia's presence she would surely ask.
That night she had passed by the training room where Nuriel had told her that he'd be. The hallways were as always, packed with warriors going about their business. She turned into the center of attention, but she didn't mind it as much anymore. With her spine held straight and a subtle smile on her face she had greeted all those who she passed, and she didn't try to stop them when they bowed since she didn't see the reason to do so.
She did however realize how some of them seemed to study her carefully, a couple of them had even breathed in deeply when she had passed. It had seemed a little disrespectful but she thought nothing of it. When she got to the large training room, she was shocked to find quite a number of warriors as well as six of the angels in there, they were all practicing. She stood inside the doorway and watched on. Marvelling in delight at how expertly they all handled their weapons. Having paired into groups of two or three.
Nuriel seemed to be sparring with both Victor and Kael. And that had been the first time she realized there was more to Kael than he let on. He was actually quite skilled.
The sound of blades sliding against each other echoed in the room, she crossed her arms and leaned against the doorway, not wanting to interrupt anything. Nuriel was shirtless, and the sight of him had her rubbing her hands over her upper arm and trying her best to act normal. His fluid movements were making her breathing difficult.
" Focus Kael, I told you that if your opponent is standing on this direction then you ought to strike your sword from this angle..." Victor told the young angel, then Nuriel helped him by showing him practically. A look of utter focus on his magnificent face. Kael tried the move again and Victor seemed a bit more impressed. They had been at that for hours and she wondered whether they weren't tired. But she didn't want to interrupt anything so she decided to just go back to their chambers and lay down for a bit before Nuriel joined her. And once he did she was going to try and seduce him for the third time that week, she couldn't believe that he had managed to hold out for that long, but she could sense that she almost had him. He was almost on the verge of giving in and something told her that tonight was the night. She walked out of the room and had only taken two steps when Nuriel held her arm and turned her around to face him.
" Don't telling me you were planning on leaving just like that, " he said as he drew her in for a kiss. He had sensed her presence way before she had even arrived at the training room. Had been waiting for her to approach him.
" You were busy, I didn't wanna disturb you, " she said and he rolled his eyes in a most unmanly manner and snaked both hands around her waist.
" You know quite well that you're anything but a bother, I've missed you, " he said as he rested his chin on the top of her head and took in a deep breath. Then he exhaled and held her tighter.
" Me too," she confessed. But it wasn't as much a confession as it was a fact, one she knew he was well aware of. With both her hands in his back she looked up at him and then bit her bottom lip. She wanted to tell him that she only needed a couple of more days to brush over her powers and then they'd be set,but she chose to leave that news for another time. His skin was layered in a sheet of sweat and that somehow made him more appealing to her. She snuggled impossibly closer to him. Then she asked him how much longer his practice was going to take. Smiling to himself, he asked her why she wanted to know.
" No reason, " she casually stated with a shrug. Then he held her by both shoulders and pulled her slightly back, his eyes narrowing in an intense inspection of her suspicious expression. Sighing, he shook his head.
" No, " he told her for what amounted to the fifth time in less than three days. She acted unaware of what he was talking about.
" Let it go m'eudail, we're not having this discussion again, " he said before he let go of her, but she was so stubborn! Just the previous night he had woken up to feel of her soft hand wrapped around his cock. The thought driving him crazy with need even after so many hours had passed, but the incident had made him realize that she wasn't planning on letting the matter go. And he didn't want to have to explain everything from his own point of view, which meant that all he could do was force himself to turn her down each time she tried to get him to mark her.
And his mate was painfully good...a temptress of sorts. He knew that if he went back to his chambers that night then she would simply pull another one of her stunts. And Flame was finding it hard to understand what his reluctance to mark her was all about. It would literally solve their problems yet he wasn't willing to go ahead with it.
" Should I wait for you so that we could..." she wiggled her brows suggestively and he furrowed his own in confusion. Then he shook his head and chuckled.
" You're not planning on letting this go, are you?" He asked her and she acted all shocked.
" I just want us to eat together, goodness angel! What did you think I meant!" she smiled playfully. Earning a laugh from Nuriel, but then he told her to go ahead and eat since he still had to finish up his training. Kael had asked him and Victor to help him out and and they would do just that. Plus his beautiful mate clearly had ulterior motives and he feared that they would eventually find themselves arguing over the matter.
" Are you sure?" She insisted, sounding a bit disappointed. She knew just how to get him to change his mind, knew that she was by far the most important person to him,but he wasn't going to let her use that against him.
" I'm sure, I'll try not to take long, " she sighed defeatedly and turned around. Knowing he was going to do just the opposite, there were even chances he wasn't going to return to their chambers that night.
" I love you, " he shouted slightly once she was a few steps away from him, she told him that she loved him too without turning around...a slight slice of anger in her voice. She shot him an angry glare when she heard him laugh.

Flame hadn't been planning on sleeping, she hadn't even realized how tired she was until she got into her covers and closed her eyes. Then less than five minutes later she was already asleep. It was odd. She knew that she was asleep, opening her eyes she gasped and looked around........ wondering exactly what could have been going on. She was standing outside a building in broad daylight.
And it appeared that she was back on earth. She looked down at herself, realizing that she was still dressed in the light blue nightgown she had worn to bed. She placed her hand on her heart, wondering where the fear she ought to be feeling was. She was barefoot, her feet heated by the warm concrete she was stepping on. She looked around but couldn't see anyone.
" I shall provide you with the answers you seek..."
Aurelia told her in a voice that was a gentle breeze. Flame was confused and had no clue as to what the fairy meant, but then a while after a while she heard footsteps approaching, and from the corner emerged a girl who couldn't have been older than eighteen. Flame's eyes narrowed and she tilted her head a little to the side. Not wanting to notice how much alike they looked, they had the same shade of hair. And their features were so much alike. Dressed in a pair of short denim shorts and a dark lace top that revealed more than it ought to,the girl walked towards the direction of Flame and didn't stop.
" She cannot hear you child, " Aurelia told her when Flame stretched out her hand with the intention of stopping her. She watched as the stranger walked past her and then she followed behind.
