''Thanks for coming.'' I muttered those words to Catherine, who was about leaving.

''You are welcome, I promise to come see you from time to time.'' she promised and softly placed a kiss on my cheek before moving away from me.

''Wait for me in the car, I have something to say to her.'' the lady, who has been silent since she came some up.

Catherine stared at her curiously before leaving the room.

I heard the sound of the door, turned around and noticed Eric walking in.

''Are you okay.'' he asked, standing a bit far from me.

I nodded my head and lick my lips nervously.

''I will be going back to California for a business meeting, but I will be back within the next four days.''

Hearing those words from him, I felt an uncomfortable feeling bloomed in my chest and I wondered why I would feel that way.

''I have already gotten a private nurse for you, not to worry, she will attend to all your needs until I'm back.'' I tried speaking but realized I lost my voice and did not know what to say.
