''Hey.'' I smiled at him and waved my hand to him,

He smiled at me and moved closer to me, kissed me softly on the cheek and moved away from me.

''Sorry I haven't been able to come see you, I've been busy.'' he apologized and stared at me with curious eyes.

''It's okay, I haven't gotten the time to thank you for bringing me back that night.'' he chuckled softly at my words and took the seat beside me.

''It's nothing, I was just careless, I shouldn't have allowed you drink that much.''

''Not your fault, I was the one at fault.'' I flashed him a big smile which he returned

We stared at each other for a while before I cleared my throat and looked away.

''I thought you are back to California.'' I asked while avoiding his gaze.

''I'll be leaving tomorrow, but I thought I should come see you before I leave.''

''That's so thoughtful of you.'' I smiled at him and nervously looked away.

I was nervous and shy when I'm always around men, I remembered I have no male friends, I avoided guys like diseases and now sitting so close to guys and taking to them was very new to me.

''How are you.'' he asked while staring at me,

''I'm fine, will be discharged in two days time.''

''Yeah.'' I nodded my head and was about saying something when I noticed the door opened and Eric walked in and stood by the door.

I wasn't expecting him this early, and I wondered why he was here when he left late last night.

Seeing how awkward everything was, I decided to make an introduction to clear the air.

''Maurice meet Eric, Eric meet Maurice who brought me back to the hospital.'' I introduced them awkwardly

I lick my lips and chuckled nervously at his words but didn't say a word.

''Victoria.'' Eric called out my name while staring at me with a piercing gaze.

I swallowed nervously before speaking up

''Maurice, meet Eric, my boyfriend.'' I spoke in a low tune, but I was angry and irritated by Eric's behavior

''Nice meeting you.'' Maurice muttered those words and stood up from the chair

''I'll have to go.'' he took out a card from his jacket and handed it over to me, but Eric snatched it from me.
