I'm suprised. Suprised isn't the right word, I'm suspicious. I can already feel the glares of at least eighteen different girls in the room fall on me.
I look at the face of the person that bringing all this attention to me. Why are all the new students cute? I ask myself silently. I almost stand up and follow him out when I remember how he treated me this morning, like I was some street urchin who had committed the biggest mistake of the century by mistakenly bumping into him. I had bumped into him and yet had taken his revenge in a way that made me feel even more horrible than Aron's breakup did. "I see you've changed your shirt?" I say and I can see his eyes drop. Is he intimidated by me?.
He dosen't look like the type to be intimidated by anybody really. What? With that shape and that killer physique coupled up with that face that told you nothing of the kind of person he truly was underneath. He looks at me appealing with his eyes and I can t help but squirm under his gaze. "I don't think I can right now, I'm really busy." I say. I don't expect the hurt look that flashes over his face before he stalks back to his seat and puts his head down writing something in a piece of paper. I abandon my quest of trying to see what he's writing from so far away. "Why did you blow him off like that?" Scott asks raising his head from his phone to look at me.
I give him something of a stink eye look. We usually don't meddle in each other's business and I know Scott didn't mean it like that. So I decide to tell them everything. I'm about to start when the Siren for the end of the lunch break sounds.
Everyone begins packing their things so the kids who are on lunch duty and come clean up. I feel a rather enticing build walk unusually close past our table. I watch his retreating figure with suprise in my eyes. "Seems letters are all the rage these days?" Scott says barely looking up from his phone. I cast him a confused glance and I can see the corners of his mouth quivering from holding himself back from laughing.
Who exactly is he texting?. I signal Oakley who still seats like none of what we're doing concerns her, she gets my message and clears her throat and begins inspecting her nails "Scotty boo. What do you think about me getting your sister a sugar daddy?" She asks, and instead of the outrage I expect him to burst into, his lips just rise in the slightest bit of a smile "Try it and you won't see the light of day".
This surprises Oakley and she grins "Scotty boo's grown up now. How bout I get you a sugar daddy huh?" She finishes her statement with a wiggle of her eyebrows. It cracks me up and that's when I see the neat folded price of paper on the table.
