It seems I can suddenly get exactly what is happening here. Now ever since we moved to this new place, aunt has always encouraged us to go out and make new friends, so we won't simply be stuck inside all through the day.
I found Aron quickly enough that I spent at least all my time with him, or all the time he had to offer, but Scott hasn't really gotten that much friends in this place.
I can't say it's particularly because of his attitude, but that is exactly what I'll blame it on. He has that prickly attitude that seems to annoy people, well popular people to be precise. He has that sort of attitude that immediately repels anyone who might be too friendly, or too jovial, or seem to have a lot of friends.
He just has that sort of attitude about him, and I can't say it's alright. It helped him enough most of the time though, as it ensures he doesn't go around following people who do anything for popularity, but it also ensures that he is lonely and has a limited number of friends.
Scott is the sort of person that only becomes friends with people who can assist him or who he can gain something from in some way. He doesn't do anything without benefits attached to it, and it isn't like he's feeding on the friendship of other people, he only becomes friends with people who can offer a mutually beneficial relationship.
I'll learn from you and you learn from me sort of thing. Up till now I don't think he has actually found that person yet, so he has taken another road to actually interacting with people.
He started offering little classes here and there to students who seemed to be drawing back in their educational sphere. I put it that way, because that is the only way I can find to put it. He offers tutoring lessons to jocks who desperately want to pass an exam, or kids who seem to be smart in each and every other subject, but have that one or that one dreaded subject.
He offers a variety of lessons and he also makes money from it, that's the only reason he is at least a bit more financially independent than me, and it's also the reason why my aunt has been pestering me to go get myself a job for the past three weeks now.
Unfortunately for Scott some of the people he tutors are absolute jerks, and I'm guessing this is one of them.
"How in heavens sake will you pay someone else your tutor also tutors to write an essential tests for you, and then when you are met with failure you come back to said tutor, and start creating a scene. Does it make any sense to you?" I ask him.
He raises his eyebrows like what am I talking about. I do not deem it fit to interfere in their discussion again, and I see Scott wave the piece of paper in front of his eyes.
"If you can't take time off partying, or drinking, or hooking up with girls, then I suggest you totally forget about passing this test because there's no way you'll actually do it" I see the guy go white with rage.
