She practically lies on my bed with a bag of potato chips in hand, and a huge bottle of Coke in the other.
"Where exactly did she get those?" Scott asks with something like fascination in his tone I can see the package he's referring to as he eyes it hungrily, and i chuckle at myself.
Sometimes it's so amazing how the two people who act the most grown-up in front of me, can become so childish a moment after. Oakley basically squints her eyes open and shoots him a deadly glare.
"Do not touch it". Her voice is coming out tired and exhausted, and I can see Scott grin as he walks over to her and snatches her loot away. She wants to stand up though, she wants to jump up and chase after him, but her laziness will not allow it. I almost wonder where exactly she went last night.
She went somewhere and came back so tired that she had collapsed on the bed shortly afterwards, well she didn't do so without having some food in her stomach first, and I can't seem to figure out where she had gotten this new batch of late night snacks.
Scott balances himself on a chair, and begins munching away at the potato chips. The crunching sound that he makes as he chews it delightedly practically makes me giggle with excitement.
Oakley is groaning like a child on the bed, and making whimpering noises entreating me to tell Scott to stop bullying her, and give her the possessions back.
"We have school today you know?" I say to both of them, and they both shrug like it is something inconsequential.
"Exactly what are we going to do at school anyways?" Oakley ask, and Scott nods in confirmation. I can't see the essence of school too, ever since the start of this week we practically had no classes at all, students have been free to do whatever they wanted to do, and I'm not really sure I'm up for that sort of emotional trauma once more today.
I actually consider the most dangerous option out of them all. I consider the possibility that we do not go to school at all, just stay at home and relax for today. That plan, there's a lot of risks Involved in such a thing. Us skipping school could easily get back to the ears of someone I do not want to hear it, but it would also mean that I would be free from all the drama that school might bring today.
actually feel a pang of what others would call the "I miss you" feeling. I don't know why it came immediately my thoughts strayed to two boys, two guys who seem to make my head spin up and down, and are ultimately my greatest source of drama.
"Should we skip school then?' I ask and Scott's eyes go wide in surprise. I know exactly how this sounds to him. An abomination, a sacrilege, something that can only be spoken of in secret, but Oakley just falls on the floor laughing, and grins as she gives me a conspiratorial smile.
