Chapter 298

Ok after about fifteen to twenty minutes of watching tutorials, I think I'm ready to try this thing.

I don't really care if it is too salty, or if it is too hard, or if it is undercooked, at least let me try my best. I grab the pound of steak and I look at the meat in my hand .

okay, I can't say that I have too much strength as to cut something like this into strips, but still I'm guessing that there should be something smaller, something smaller which I can experiment on.

My eyes fly wide open as the realisation hits me, back there, i saw a pack of bacon there and I smiled delighted at myself as I grab the steak and put it back into the huge freezer we have in the pantry.

I grabbed the pack of bacon instead and I set to searching in how to cook bacon on the internet.

After about five minutes of a tutorial, I set to preparing the bacon.

I mean it's easy enough to just fry it.

I put the pan on the electric cooker and then I go off to search for some oil, aunt dosen't like me using oil, she'd rather we use the air fryer instead but I don't have the time for such this morning.

okay have the time for such because that should be easier, considerably easier because I do not know how to cook with oil but instead I have to search for it because I want to finally gain some cooking experience in my life.

I mean when I get married who would do the cooking.

Scott makes the mkst delicious food you could ever imagine someone making, he gets that from mum, but here I am, the runt of the family, because father can cook, mother can cook, Scott can cook, Scott can cook perfectly well but I am the only one who has no skill in cooking at all. I have to change that, I have to turn that around.

I grab the huge bucket of the crystalline looking oil that we have in the Cellar, I'm guessing that this is the pressed olive oil. I scoop a little bit out and I put it on to the pan.

I am waiting, and waiting, and waiting, but yet there is no reaction, only when I begin to see smoke coming out of the pan do I realise something, I should have put the bacon in minutes ago.

The lady on the tutorial said five minutes, five minutes to let the oil heat up and then you put in your bacon.

I haven't even seasoned the bacon that's the thing, and I doubt me eating pig meat, plain meat like that is going to taste well or go down my throat.

Alright, I have to initiate a do-over. I have to have a makeover and I switch off the electric cooker.

I switch it off and I grab the pan of oil by the handle and tip it into the sink, I hope it doesn't burn anything.

I open the water supply so that it can wash the last bit of oil down.

Start over.
