"These people that you have invited, are they at least people that we know?" I ask her and she nods her head.
"You know them as well" she says and a deep pit begins forming in my belly.
Okay, I know that this pit has formed many many times before, but now it is even deeper than before because I think I know what she did.
She is insane, and I know who that, I almost feel like strangling her.
"You invited two boys over for a sleepover????" I say and she shoots me a defensie look.
"They aren't just two boys, they're your friends, they are our friends"
"And you invited them for a sleepover???" I say, and she nods her head.
For a moment I cannot even believe it, I cannot believe it because how normal is it to invite some boys over for a sleepover. I mean boys don't even do sleepovers, if she had told me that she invited a girl or one of the new friends that she had made from her library escapades, then sure I would have expected to it, but inviting two boys to come sleep over.
"What motive do you have for doing this?" I ask her and she simply shrugs her shoulders.
"Don't ruffle your feathers, they aren't coming today, they're coming tomorrow" she says and something suddenly clicks in my head.
That's right, tomorrow is Friday, so I would have to be stuck in this house with Clay and Eras for the whole weekend, impossible, totally impossible.
"You have to tell them to cancel" I say trying to sound as serious as I can and her face falls immediately.
"I didn't really mean anything bad by it, I didn't mean any harm, truly.
Clay was telling me of how he always felt lonely staying at home the other day,"
"You've had discussions with him?" I say and she nods her head.
"He isn't only your friend, I'm pretty sure that even Scott has spoken to him at one point or the other" she says and I am absorbing all this as quickly as I can.
I'm absorbing all this information so that I do not sound too flustered.
"Well I did not give her my assent for this to go on, and I'm really really sorry Oakley, but I don't think Scott would allow two boys, two total strangers that we might know to have a sleep over in the house, plus, who will they be staying with?. Two boys and two girls having a sleepover isn't in any way appropriate you know?"
She nods her head at this.
"That's because your mind is thinking of it, and it's not that way. What if I tell you I even have a legit reason for them to stay, would you allow them stay?" she asks and I consider this briefly.
Even if she had any legitimate reason, even if she had all the legitimate reasons in the world for them to spend the night, I didn't think I'll still allow it. It is going to be too weird.
