I tune tune out everyone else and I simply focus on what I'm reading.
I focus on what I'm reading because it is oddly fascinating and interesting at the same time.
So there is a field of thought which practically argues that emotions are not the primary things that drive us to do what we do.
There's a field of thought that practically argues that emotion is secondary and reason is primary. Reason is the first thing that everyone considers in everything, and it is true, reason should be the first thing that you consider but yet is it that true?.
Does everyone always reason first before they carry out actions??.
The answer is simply No.
Emotions are a strong part of us, a stronger part of us than we would actually consider.
Some people actually argue that emotions are as strong a part of us than our thoughts and reflexes and it is true.
It is actually true.
Some people practically boast to be in control of their emotions but yet for the most part of it they're somehow not. They're partially not but still, reason does not come first in all situations.
Reason does not come first because most people act on instinct.
They simply act on instinctual emotion.
I am part of those people. I am part of those people who act on what I am feeling currently but still, reason should come first. Reason should come first because that is the most practical line of thought.
All right, am i confusing myself?. I need to clarify things.
Reason first, before you act on emotions, emotions are always tricky to even begin with.
Sometimes you do not understand exactly what you feel and then you simply act and you get yourself into a very tricky situation.
"Are you even listening to us?" Oakley says looking at me and I shake my head.
"Give me your opinion on this, reason or emotion, which one takes top priority in your mind?".
Every one simply stares into the distance as they consider the question.
They consider the question and I am pleased with myself. At least it shouldn't be only games that we play, we should talk about things, we should talk about things that are necessary, like this.
Everyone always has a different view on some things, everyone always has a different view on some things and so it should not be too hard to pinpoint something as easy as this.
The question is simple, reason or emotion, which one comes first.
"Emotion"
"Emotion"
"Emotion"
Those are three answers that I get. I get that same answer from a fourth person, I get it from a fifth person, I only get reason from one person.
I only get reason from one person and I roll my eyes.
Of course Scott will choose reason, Scott will choose reason because he's the most reasonable person I've ever met, but still given that fact is not true sometimes, i smile at this.
He acts out sometimes, he acts purely on emotion sometimes and I smile at him.
"Would you actually dare to boast that you have not acted out once?".
"Some of us can't afford to put emotion first before reason. It's dangerous".
