Chapter 85

Adrian has basically none of the charm that I see erupting off this guy in waves. It seems wherever he goes he draws the attention of people to him immediately, and I cannot seem to imagine how we we would win against such a person.

Everyone's eyes are glued to his back whenever he passes, as each and every movement comes out with fluid grace and they alluring appeal that nimeteen year olds can't seem to resist.

It seems this place is full to the brim with raging hormones today, as I can practically see everyone's eyes raving each and every part of someone else's body. It didn't seem to help that even with the cold weather, the guys seem to come out shirtless and the females wear something so sparse, it could not be called clothing.

I almost wonder if this is an athletic blame game, or a strip club in action, because what I am seeing before my eyes makes my cheeks heat in embarrassment, even Adrian seems shocked as the few people that were around us seem to multiply greatly now, and the greater part of them are either shirtless or flexing off their toned muscles.

It would seem like something very erotic to do in such a situation, but yet I think I can see clearly through what all this is. I can see how the guys assess each other looking for who is stronger, who might have better throwing capability, whose legs might be firmer and more muscled for running, with each flex of muscle that they give they do it in intimidation of another person.

Each and every action is sending a silent message to the others, they are clearly showing off what they have got, and it would be better if those who know they couldn't keep up didn't even enter at all.

I can see something of a lanky frame at the corner of my eyes and the moment my gaze lands on the guy, he lurches in embarrassment and put his coat back on.

He walks over to someone else and hands him a small circular piece of rock or is it metal. I can't see exactly what it says from this far off.

"What is that?" I say, nodding my head towards the guy who is smiling widely and holding up something black in the air.

"It is a token" he replies, and goes on to explaining exactly how they work. For each and every game held, anyone that participated in it, is risking the value of the token that they all possess. Adrian shows his own and I can see his has something of a gold, metal, and bronze disc, very tiny, but yet noticeably engraved around each other so they run around in circles.

The pattern seems so beautiful to me and I hold it up to the sunlight. I can see someone else's gaze catch the gleam of the metal and their eyes widen in surprise.

I hand it back hurried to Adrian and I look to him for an explanation.
