The boy is looking at us contemplating, he's looking at us contemplating his current decision.
"Where are you staying?" I say looking to him and he shakes his head. "No where".
"Where did you sleep last night?" I say and he reluctantly grabs my hand walking with me.
He shows me a mound of dirt, a mound of dirt in which the grass has similarly grown over, and he points to it.
"I slept there".
"Is that where your daddy is?" I say looking to him and he nods his head.
"When is he going to come up?".
It is taking each and every bit of my willpower to simply not burst down crying in front of this boy.
It is taking each and every bit of willpower to simply not break down crying because I do not understand all this.
I don't understand why something like this should be happening to such a young boy.
Why is he even here in the first place, why did his father bring him here.
Now he's dead and what is his child supposed to do?.
"You slept outside?" I say to him and he nods his head.
"It wasn't that bad though"
"Will you continue sleeping here?" I ask and he nods like of it.
He nods like he's totally sure and is capable of it. I realise that I have to shake my head and smile at him for this. I'm guessing that it will be wrong if both of us were crying, it would simply portray weakness if the both of us were crying and so I want to be strong for him.
I want to be strong for him.
I bend down to clean the tears on his face and we're at eye level now.
"Why don't you come stay with me in there?" I say pointing to the huge place.
I cannot call it a mansion because it is not a mansion, this place is easily the size of the white house but almost like ten times bigger.
"I'm scared of going in there" he says and I cock an eyebrow at him.
"You don't need to be scared. I'll be with you and I'll protect you".
"I don't want to go in there" he says a fair resolution in his eyes and I realise that there's probably something else behind it.
"Are you scared of the people in there?" I ask him and he nods his head.
"It was one of them that killed my dad"
"You saw who killed your dad?" I said to him and ignore the murderous glint in his eyes.
"I saw the person, now what do you want?".
Okay I'm guessing that he is trying to repel me by saying this but yet I realise that he is just hurt.
He is just hurt and confused so I cannot really blame him for that.
"How about you come with me, so that we can find out what to do to this person".
My heart is practically pounding in my ears now.
