He says and I look up at him, eyes still wet from the tears streaming down my cheeks, heart freshly broken from the public humiliation and betrayal that was Lucas's breakup. I can faintly make out the first droppings of snow floating magically under the light of the street lamps. It's that time of the year, a time for wool coats, a time for relaxing, none of which I'll be doing. "I'm an orphan with a wicked aunt and a boyfriend who left her because she has nothing to her name, how could I possibly help you?" I say another sob escaping my lips. "Marry me" he replies and my eyes widen in anger. Is he mocking me?. I look into the eyes of this stranger and see he's dead serious. "I need a wife, you need a home, marry me and you'll have all you want". I nod.

"I'm guessing that it was the phone's ringing that even woke you up?" I say looking at him and he nods his head.

He releases a tired yawn for me and I simply smile as I flick some strands of hair away from his face.

Seriously, the boy looks really cute after just waking up. He looks really really cute when he is just awakening from his slumber. I laugh at this, his eyes look unfocused and glassy and I see ash eyes have taken on something of a watery ash colour now.

It's not really watery ash as much as his eyes just look cloudy and I have the sudden urge to scoop him into my arms and let him sleep right there.

"Can I take you back to the room now?" I say looking at him and he nods his head.

He spread his arms wide and I lift him onto my shoulders, not caring at the amount of people looking at us.

He's sleeping, he's already sleeping soundly and peacefully and I smile at myself.

Sincerely, I would make a really good mother, I'd make a really good mother after all.

Adrian and Alice practically meet him in my arms, both of them in a panic and Alice breathing in and out loudly.

"Seriously, just a simple walk Alice, a simple walk and you already look like you'll simply die from exhaustion".

"I would have died from exhaustion if not that i had eaten something this morning" she says shooting a glare back at Arden and I have to smile.

"What did he even come out of the room to do anyways?" Adrian says looking at the child that is now soundly asleep on my shoulder and I hand him back his phone.

His eyes fly wide open when he sees the number of missed calls that his parents have dropped.

"I'm guessing that you should be calling him your little hero now" I say looking back at Ercles and he smiles.

He smiles before his loo suddenly pales.

"Friggin hell, they're going to kill me".

He says this and I am seriously taken aback by this. I'm seriously taken aback by this because this is practically the first dramatic action that I have seen come from Adrian.

This is the first action that i have seen from him that involves so much drama in it. He simply looks like he might drop dead onto the floor any minute now.

"They're your parents, they can't possibly kill you" I say looking at him and he smiles. So this might be more serious than i thought.

"Oh come on, stop blowing it up like that, they won't kill you. They'll simply be angry at you"

"It's better if I was dead" Adrian says and I am taken aback by this again.

What is happening, what is happening to him.

"Have you forgotten that we are all still eighteen, we are allowed to overreact sometimes".

Alice says this looking at me with that twinkle practically in her eyes and I nod my head.

I have truly forgotten that we are all still basically kids.
