that shot at you?”
“No, they were wearing ski masks,”
“This is serious, someone wants you dead, and you don’t have any idea who,” he said.
“Try and think who could be behind it,” he added.
“I have thought about it, I don’t have anyone in mind, maybe it was one of our past enemies, I don’t know,” I replied.
“Wait if those people know where I would be at which means they know where I live,” I said.
I rubbed my hand across my hair, what have I done, my family is in danger, I thought.
“I am going home, my family needs my protection, I don’t know who this person is,” I said as I stood up from the couch.
Gustavo also stood up from the couch,
“Try and chill, homie, maybe the people that shot at you wanted for you to be scared, so please don’t lose your cool,” he stated staring at me.
“I will try,” I replied.
I walked out of the living room, and went out of the house, I scuttled over to my car, got in, and drove off.
I arrived at the front of my house, I parked my car in the driveway and came down, I walked into the house, no one was home, so I rushed upstairs to my bedroom, I sat down at my desktop computer, I brought out my phone and called Cassandra,
“Hey babe, I wanted to check up on you,” I said
“About what?” she asked.
“I want you to be very careful, I can’t take any chances,” I answered.
“What for? Oh, is it about the shooting earlier this morning?”
“Yes it is, I don’t know the people to do that, but I want you to be very careful, watch your back okay,”
“Okay babe, I will,” she muttered.
“Alright,” I said as I ended the call.
I shoved my cellphone in my pocket.
NIGHTTIME:
Cassandra told me to go buy a few things from the mall, and it was about 7 pm, I walked out of the house and walked towards my driveway, I opened my front seat and got in, I slammed the door.
Then a metal pressed against the back of my head,
“Don’t make any noise or I will shoot, just drive,” a deep manly voice said.
“Don’t even turn back to look at me,” he added.
“Okay,” I muttered as I started the car, I reversed the car and drove off, I drove in the direction of the mall,
“Who are you?” I asked.
“Don’t worry about that, we will establish that very soon, just keep driving,” he answered.
As I was driving he told me to pull the car over at a bush side, the place looked abandoned, I pulled the car over,
“Now raise both your hands in the air,” he said.
I obeyed and raised my hand,
“How did you know where I live?”
“I told you to shut up,”
“Does the name Joel ring a bell to you,” he said.
