“Promise me you will leave this drug business,” she said.
“Why would you say that” I replied.
“Look at what it is doing to us, we have lost our only son, are you fine with that,” she complained.
I couldn’t reply to her, she stood up from the bed and walked over to where I was standing, she looked me deep in the eyes,
“That’s what I thought,” she said.
I could see the pains in her eye,
“If you know you want to continue with this drug life, I will take Julianna and go far away from you, I am tired of all this rubbish,” she snapped.
I was just standing silent,
“Pick right now, is either me and your daughter or your drug business,” she said.
I could see it in her eyes, that she was very serious,
“I pick you, babe,” I said.
“Now, start making a plan for us to leave this city,” she replied.
I too was starting to get tired of all the blood-shedding, I love Cassandra very much, I can’t let her leave me because of this, I guess I have to leave the Tahinos cartel, and I will hand over the business to Gustavo before leaving.
A couple of hours later:
“Gustavo, I want you guys to track down the men, that killed my son, and also kill all of them, they stole more than 2 million dollars worth of Coke from me,” I said.
“Okay, I am on it as we speak,” he replied.
All the Tahinos members were seated in the living room of the trap house.
“And also, I am leaving Brooklyn for good, I am out of the Tahinos cartel, I want to use this opportunity to hand over everything to Gustavo, he will be the new boss, you all we answer to him, I will no longer be in the picture,” I stated.
“Wow, are you serious?” Gidys asked.
“Yeah,” I answered.
Then everyone welcomed Gustavo as their new boss.
“Gustavo keep me posted on the hunt for those motherfuckers that killed my son,” I said as I stood up from the couch.
“I think this might be the last day we all see each other,
“It has been a pleasure working with you guys, you all should take care of yourself,” I stated.
Everyone started shaking my hand one by one, it was a very sad moment, all the things I have built I will be leaving them behind, I thought.
Then I walked out of the trap house.
TWO DAYS LATER:
Cassandra, Julianna, and I were all seated in a taxi, I was driving us to the national airport, we were heading over to Miami to start a new life, then we arrived at the airport, we all came down from the car, Cassandra and I carried our luggage’s and we went into the airport, we boarded our flight and left Brooklyn.
THREE MONTHS LATER:
I was seated on the balcony sipping wine and looking at the beautiful view, it has been several months, I sold our house in Brooklyn, Cassandra also sold her restaurant, my mom is still in Brooklyn handling her club business, and she and Jackson are now married to each other, Cassandra and I bought an apartment in Miami, Gustavo called me about two months ago and told me he has killed all the men that came after me and my family, Cassandra and I have started a new life here in Miami, I am fully out of the drug game, it is safe to say I will be spending the rest of my life with my family, free from all the noises back in Brooklyn.
Cassandra walked over to the balcony and sat close to me, she gave me a kiss on the lip, it is safe to say my history in Brooklyn is over.
