Chapter97: the date 1

I was busy calling my mom when the door opened and I tilted my head towards it. Alex came in and he kissed my cheek then he went to the bathroom.

"Are you listening honey?"my mom called and I turned my attention to the phone.

"Yes mom."6 said though I have no idea if what she was talking about.

"Okay honey. I'm happy for you. I really am and I think Alex is a good man. You should call your grandma. She may want to talk to you."

"Okay mom. "I said 

"I can't believe you are married. You are not my little girl anymore. You are now someone's wife. I'll Hung up now because I'll continue to talk and I won't stop. I'm happ and lucky to have you. I love you honey." 

"I love you too mom."I said and I hung up. I sighed and I smiled remembering how happy my mom was when I called her. She's never sounded so happy like today and I feel so good that she's happy. Her happiness is all that matters.

I took my phone again and I called my grandma. She picked up in the second ring. It's like she was waiting for my call. 

"Hello grandma?"I greeted first but then she cut the call. I frowned and I took the phone from my ear and I set to call her again but then she called this time a video call. She likes video calls so much and I wonder why.

I accepted and I was met with her not so happy face. Okay I'm in trouble. My heart trembled a little waiting for my grandma to speak and start to scold me. But then instead of talking she started laughing.

"You could have seen your face honey."she said in between laughs and I breathed a relief as well as smiling.

"That's not good grandma. I could have had a heart attack."I complained.

"Stop whining. How are you still whiny even when you are married? Anyways, hi married woman. You know I'm so happy that I've told all my employees at the the ranch to take a day off today. When Alex called yesterday telling me he's planning to marry you, I was so happy. I've not been this happy for a long time. Woow, now you are no longer my baby anymore."my grandma talked nonstop. I understand she's so happy but she needs to slow down.

"Grandma you need to breath. I'm happy to know you are happy too."

"Of course. That's so big news and I am so proud of the woman that you have become. The other day you were just so small and now you are grown. You should start giving me some grandchildren to keep me company now. I told Alex that too so hurry up."she said and I blushed. 

"Grandma, that's so soon. We have not even talked about children with Alex."

"Speak with him as soon as possible. I want a little version of you running up and down my compound."she said and I chuckled.

"Okay grandma. I'll call you some other time. I need to go now."I said.

"Okay honey. I give you my blessings on your marriage. I wish you all the goodluck there can ever be. Live happily and before I forget great that son in law of mine. Tell him to call me when he finds time and now that we're family he should call occasionally now."

"Okay grandma I'll tell Alex what you said."I said then I cut the call. I smiled I threw my head back on the couch. I was really happy.

"What is it that you are supposed to tell me baby?"Alex's voice suddenly sounded in the room. I sat up and I looked at him where he stood at the bathroom door with his bathrobe. 

"Heey. It was my grandma saying you call her when you find time."I told him standing up and went to where he was.

"Okay. You start preparing for our date."he said and I smiled.

"Yeah. I just hope this time our date will be so successful."I said and I went to the bathroom. I quickly freshened up and went to the closet where I found Alex looking at something. I walked closer to find a dress that was so beautiful.

"Is that mine?"I asked smiling.

"Who else would the dress be for. Is it beautiful?"he asked and I looked at him smiling.

"Of it's beautiful. I love it."I said and he smiled in satisfaction.

"Okay hurry up and wear it. I need to see how it will look on you."he said and I rolled my eyes. 

"I need to wear makeup first and dry my hair too."I told him and I went to take the hair dryer. I sat at the dressing table and connected it to the socket but before I could turn it on, Alex took it away from me and turned it on himself then he started drying my hair. I let him do what he wanted because I can't argue with him over my hair.

"Have you ever cut your hair?"he suddenly asked and I nodded.

"Yeah. I trim it too every month. Why?"

"It's just that it's too long. Not that I'm complaining though, I like it this long. I wonder how you were given all this beauty. You have great hair, beautiful eyes. What colour are they?"he asked and I chuckled. I can't believe Alex doesn't know the colour of my eyes.

"It's blue Alex. Blue."

"Just blue? I mean they make you look like a goddess. You have perfect everything. Your lips and nose. Damn your boobs. Not to forget the ass. You are just so perfect."he praised and I smiled.

"Not the ass though. I don't have big ass. I wonder how my ass is perfect when it's simply not. I have stretch marks and I hate them."I said a little angry. I usually hate the fact that I have stretch marks on my ass. That's the only thing I hate with my body. I heard Alex turn the dryer off and I looked up."what's wrong?"I asked.

He looked at me for a few seconds without talking then I saw him kneel and we were at the same level." Baby, I like your ass just the way it is. I think it's perfect because it is and I don't care about stretch marks. I don't usually see them though but I wouldn't care if there was any that I could see. I would still love you because you are my beautiful wife who I would sacrifice anything for."Alex said and some tears welled up in my eyes. I didn't bother to blink them away when they started flowing down." Why are you crying baby?"Alex asked holding my wrist.

"I just feel so good when you said those words."I said sniffling a little and Alex smiled.

"You don't cry when you feel good, you smile."Alex said wiping the tears away from my cheeks.

"I love you Alex."I said.

"I love you too baby."Alex said and he took my hand and took it to his lips for a kiss. Just before he kissed the back of my hand, he frowned.

"What the hell happened to your wrist?"he asked and I quickly took my hand back.

"Nothing."I quickly said. I can't let him know he hurt me when we were having our fight that day. He'll blame himself forever and that's the last thing I want just beforehe takes me in a date. I need to make sure this date doesn't back fire like all the others that were planned do.
