"If I was your sister, I would prefer the truth. Nobody wants to be lied to that's for sure. So, I would want the bitter truth no matter how it hurts."I said smiling while Sheebalie nodded.

"Okay, thanks for that but I won't follow your advice this time. I just wanted to know what your opinion would be."she said and I smiled.

"That is okay too. You can do what you feel is right."I said.

"So, I heard you got married."she said and I chuckled.

"You heard right."I said smiling shyly.

"Congratulations on your marriage. That's a big step. As your sister, I will always be happy for you."she said smiling. This sister thing is becoming so intense for me but I don't mind it though.

"Thank you."I replied. We talked for a while and then she left. The rest of the day went smoothly and I went home later to find no one at home. Shawn had already moved out maybe and I thought that's a good thing. He likes staying wherever I am so much lazying around.

I went upstairs to change but when I walked in the closet, I found a note written by Alex.

"Hello baby, remember the business gala I told you about, it's today and I will be taking you there. I'll send you the dress and everything you need. Be ready by seven"the note read. I had forgotten about this and I also hadn't noticed that today is Friday.

"Nevertheless, I smiled. I wanted to change and maybe Cook dinner but since there is a change of plans, I would just wait for the dress. I looked at the time and it was five o'clock. That's way too early, so, I decided to go to the study to look at some files from work in my email.

When I sat, for about thirty minutes, I heard a knock, I shouted for the person to come in and when the door opened, I looked up to be met by Bella my personal bodyguard."what is it Bella?"I asked her.

"You have a parcel ma'am."she said.

"You could have just taken it."I told her.

"It requires your signature ma'am."she said and I frowned. Who would send me a parcel? I wondered but I still stood up anyway and I got out and went downstairs to look at the parcel with Bella following me. I reached at the door and before I opened it, Bella stopped me and opened it herself. I looked at her weirdly but she smiled.

I looked at the guy who was wearing a smile on his face. He handed me the parcel and then a pen and a book to sign. I took the them while Bella took my parcel. I signed and I handed him his things but before I could even say thank you the guy grabbed me and and turned me around making me lean on his chest while he held my neck pointing a gun at me.

Everything happened so fast that I couldn't even scream or react. I just didn't know what the fuck happened. I turned to look at the guy but he tightened his grip on my neck and I squiled in pain.

"Leave her alone."I heard Bella's voice but I couldn't see her. The grip on my neck was so tight that I couldn't turn my neck to look at her.

"Why would I do that? She has to come with me whether you like or not. My boss wants to deal with her since her father is such a piece of shit. It's a message to him not to mess with our boss."the man said and I wondered what the hell I have to do with my father who I fucking don't know.

"My..my..h.. husband.. won't..let you go."I said threatening the man. I was just saying that so that he can maybe feel a little fear, after all Alex is the Alexander Scott and he can call the police and they would listen to him. 

The guy laughed maniacally and I frowned though in pain."what would he do when he's not here?"he asked.

"He has people watching over me. They.. have already reported to him and he has already called the police on you... asshole.."I said this time without much struggle.

"You mean the people who are dead? I just killed each one of them. Otherwise, why would I be here?"he said laughing and I heard Bella laugh too.

"I think you are so stupid. You think you can enter here passing all the security guards around that easily. We let you pass without much difficulty so we can get to catch you and not alert any of your stupid colleagues. The bodyguards you killed ain't dead. They were wearing bullet proof vests so your dumb idea didn't work."Bella said and I was now confused. But before I could think of anything, I heard a gun shot and the grip around my neck loosened then I heard a thud. I held my neck and I looked back now I could move to see the guy lying on the floor bleeding. I looked at Bella who was looking at a certain place and I followed her line of sight to see Alex holding a gun his face cold as ice.

My heart stopped. I couldn't believe my eyes. Alex just shot a person. How the hell does he have a gun with him? I asked the questions in my mind but when I parted my lips to speak, all I could say was " Alex?" The next thing I remember is seeing a horrified face of him and boom!! I fell into total darkness.

Alex arrived just in time to hear Bella distracting the guy who had held his wife captive. He had planned all this but what he didn't think through is that the guy would hold his wife captive like that. He wanted to trap the guy who had pretended to be a delivery person so he bought Kim's things and since the guy was available he gave him the things he bought to deliver to his home where his wife was. He has been aware of people following him and monitoring him and he let them. This guy was the one brave enough to make a move and he let him too do what he wanted by moving with the flow. The moment he sent the guy the things, He warned his People so that they can be aware of an intruder and they take caution. He's aware that this people are after his wife so he let the guy have an easy time making his move so he can trap him.

His men pretended to be dead when the guy shot them because they were wearing bullet proof vests and they were not many too. He had told them to be less so that the guy won't have much hard time getting in the premises. He had warned Bella too so she can not give the guy a hard time.

With all that done, he headed to his penthouse but he didn't expect to find the guy pointing a gun at his wife. He arrived and heard Kimberly talking something about him not letting the guy go. He just admires his wife so much. Instead of being scared she was still being stubborn and fighting her way through.

He let Bella see him and  mouthed at Bella to do something to distract the guy so that he can do what he wanted and that was to shoot the guy without any suspicions. When he had a clear shot, he shot the guy because any small mistake could lead to the bullet going into his wifes body and he couldn't know what he would do if that happens. Not that he was shooting to kill, he needs the guy alive for questioning because he needs answers as to the people who are after his wife and this stupid mouse has just been caught in the trap and he will be the one to answer those questions.

He saw his wife hold her neck and he wanted to keep the gun away but when Kimberly turned he froze. The red mark on her neck was so visible that he got scared and he was about to approach her when he saw her look at him with a horrified face. He saw her lips part and called his name and the next thing he saw was a falling Kimberly. His face darkened and he run to her before she could hit the ground.
