Chapter143:the truth 1

The fire that had started to consume us slowly reduced due to Anderson's interruption. I attempted to get out of Alex's laps but he held me tightly and I looked at him questioningly but he looked at Anderson.

"Can you let me talk to my wife first?"Alex asked and Anderson looked at him for a while then he looked away.

"Just hurry up."he said and Alex smirked.

"You think I need permission to speak with my wife? She's my wife and I can talk to her whenever I want without anyone's permission and let me make things clear, I don't have time limit of when I should stop talking to her. You know why is that? Again, because she's my wife. I can talk to her all day and night as long as she wants to talk to me. Now , leave us alone. We'll come when we are done with whatever we want."Alex said and I looked at him with admiration. This man is mine for sure.

"Whatever Alex. You will find me downstairs."Anderson said and he left closing the door after him.

"What was that about?"I asked Alex when Anderson left.

"Nothing. He's just so annoying and he took you away from me and I have to suffer missing you every single day."Alex said and I smiled but this time it was a sad smile." What is it baby?"he asked me.

"It's just..is what he said true? He's not telling the truth right? I'm not his daughter. I can't be his daughter Alex. He's been so good to me and I don't think my monster dad would be having such a good heart as Anderson. Alex....."I chocked on my voice as tears flowed down my cheeks.

"Shhhhhh baby, it's okay. I'm here with you. We'll go everything together. Don't cry anymore please."Alex's pleaded with me but I just couldn't stop crying.

I smiled and I looked at him tears still flowing my cheeks."I can't stop them. I think it's a pregnancy thing. You have not answered my question yet."I reminded him. He wiped my tears and he held me in his arms then he looked at me for a while before his lips parted.

"Yes, he's your dad."he said and I felt my breath stop for a second." You don't have to worry because I'm here now. We'll go through everything together."he added almost immediately.

"What else have you been keeping from me?"I asked and I felt him stiffen under me.

"Baby, you have to promise me that you are not going to leave me. You have to stay with me no matter what. Promise me after I tell you what I'm about to say you'll still be right in my arms. I don't mind it if you hit or punish me as long as you will be in my arms just like now please. Promise me."Alex asked me and I started getting nervous and my heart was beating really fast anticipating the story I was about to hear. I know things are about to change right now. I can feel it.

I breathed in to calm myself, I need to take care because I don't want to hurt my little babies. I brought my hands to my abdomen and I looked at Alex." I promise."I finally said and Alex looked at my hands on my abdomen and he smiled. He brought his hand on my abdomen too and he looked at my face.

"Can you feel them?"he asked me and I giggled.

"No Alex. They are still small maybe you can feel them after a few months."I told him and he frowned.

"Few months? But that's not fair. I want to feel them now. They can make an exception for daddy right?"he said and I giggled loudly. This man is the only one who can make me laugh in seconds after I've cried. Damn.

"No they can't Alex. Now tell me the truth right now."I reminded him because the direction we are heading to will lead to me forgetting about the question. I can't allow myself to be distracted because that's what Alex is best at, distracting me if he doesn't want to tell me something.

He looked at me and then he took a deep breath." Remember what you promised."he said and I nodded." Okay, Anderson is your dad. He and I I've been trying to keep you safe because as you already know, some people are after you but that's not all. They are after you for your finger prints."he said and I frowned.

"Why would people want my finger prints?"I asked Alex.

" Because your... I mean Anderson locked some very important documents with your finger prints when you were born."

"I thought he's never been around since I was born? How come he locked the documents when I was born? My mom said that my dad was not around even when she went to give birth, how is it now you are saying a different story?"I asked Alex confused. Something isn't right here.

"Anderson was on the run at that time. A certain Mafia group was chasing him for information about something and since he didn't want to give them the information, he came to lock the information with your finger prints such that only you can access the information."he said and I blinked still confused.

"So what you are telling me is that my dad was in the hospital the time I was born? But he came for his selfish reasons. To get me in trouble?"I asked getting angry. This is unbelievable.

" Baby, just calm down okay? Please?"Alex pleaded and I looked at him. I took a deep breath and he nodded smiling at me encouraging me to take in some more breath." Are you okay now?"he asked and I nodded." Okay, there's more to what I just said."Alex said and I looked at him waiting for him to go on.

"Do you remember there was a time I asked you if you would love it if you had a sister?"he asked and I thought for a while.

"Yeah. Maybe. What about it?" I asked him wondering what all has got to do with me wanting a sister or not wanting a sister.

"You may have a sister and a brother too. Like biological, from the same dad and same mom."Alex said and I stiffened.

"W.. what did... you...j.. just say?"I stuttered because I feel like I didn't hear anything clearly. I must have heard something but I'm not really sure.

"I said you might have a sister and a brother from the same mom and dad."he repeated what he said and now I confirm that I was truly not hearing my things.

"Alex, that's impossible, my mom has only me. She never lies to me about anything."I told Alex because what he just said can't be the truth. My mom could not have lied to me. I know her really well to know that she could not possibly lie to me.

" It's true but your mom don't know anything about your brother and sister. She's not aware of anything like that."he said and I smiled because that's the only thing I could do. I couldn't cry, I couldn't scream, I couldn't do anything.

"Alex, are you sure what you are saying is true? That's a serious story you are saying right now. You are not joking with me right because this is something really serious. Maybe whoever told you this story lied to you."I told Alex because the story was not making sense to me.
