Chapter189: territory

"Andrew is the one who shot me"Alex said and Alvin had his hands on his mouth his eyes open due to the shock that Alex just dropped on him.

After an amount of silence due to the bomb dropped on Stefan, he looked at Alex." What the fuck are you saying?"he asked Alex who blew air and looked at him looking all bored.

"Why do you think I was pretending to still be asleep? I just don't know how to deal with all that. It's so hard to take it that the friend I have grown with for years wants me dead. I wanted to pretend that I'm still unconscious because I wanted to think of what to do next and the most surprising thing is that I have not thought of anything."Alex said frustratedly.

"Why are you this calm? Ain't you supposed to be lashing out the moment you wake up? How the hell are you sure he won't hurt your wife or you just don't think about that? Fuck, what I'm I even saying? Damnit Alex, I am now confused. I mean Andrew? He is the last person I would think of hurting you. Fuck!!!"Stefan said.

"I know, trust me I know. What I'll ask of you is don't act rashly because I am sure he doesn't know I know he's the one who shot me. He thinks I didn't recognize him because of how he had worn clothes as cover but I still recognised him. For fucks sake we have grown together, I would recognise any flaw of his. And don't worry about my wife, he wouldn't hurt Kimberly because he kinda likes her so she's safe for now."Alex said and Stefan sighed.

"Damn, this is so uncalled for. Who would have expected such shit to turn out like this? Wait, when you mean Kimberly is safe for now what do you mean? You know I'm really confused because, if Andrew want you dead, what of the Mafia group that Fernando manages? Or is he working with him? Why would Andrew do such a stupid thing?"Stefan asked question After questions.

"What question do you want me to answer first Stefan? Those were lot hell of questions you asked there and I'm not sure of which to answer first."Alex said.

"What the hell did you talk about with Fernando? You had gone to meet him hadn't you? What did you two talk about?"he asked.

"Just some stuff. I just gave him one of my territory to rule but that's for a while. I just wanted Anderson out of that place. Kimberly needs him and as much as she doesn't want to admit it, I know her more than she knows herself. I don't want her to regret not doing something when shit happens to Anderson. She needs her fatherly love too. Right now she's just blinded by her anger and pain but when all that passes, it might be too late and it would be so regretful for her knowing she had the chance to make things right but she didn't. She's my wife and kindness is her nature. I want her to make things right with her dad because I don't want her to regret something later."Alex said and Stefan nodded.

"With her stubborn nature, I don't think that's possible."he commented.

"I just need to do some convincing. She needs to overcome the bitterness before it's too late and she would be having another problem which is guilt."Alex said." How's her mom doing in rehab?"

"I don't know. She just went a few days ago. Damn, Anderson is just bad news though. He's caused so much trouble to the family and as much as I want to support your efforts of making Kimberly make things right with her dad, I think the man has done so much damage in his children's life and Isabelle's life."Stefan said.

"He did the damage to protect them and thanks to him they are all fucking alive."Alex said.

"I'm not gonna fucking argue with you about this shit man. Whatever I say won't matter and you would still take Anderson's side."Stefan said with a sigh.

"I'm not always taking his side. I'm just reasoning with him and putting myself in his shoes."Alex said.

"What's the difference?"Stefan raised a brow at him.

"Yeah... whatever. Now what are you gonna do about Andrew? Wait does Felix know about this?"

"No one else knows about this except you asshole and I expect your lips to zip up on the shit and pretend that you fucking don't know anything."Alex warned.

"Sure. Wait, now I think about Andrew's behaviour. It's been weird lately."

"Weird how? Is he flirting with my wife?"

"Fuck no. No....he ain't flirting with Kimberly maybe being a little touchy but not flirting. He's been well, I don't know, really quiet, like more queit like he's always. I just thought that the was sad about your condition so I didn't think about it much. But damn, or maybe I am overthinking."Stefan said and Alex sighed.

"Whatever, just make sure this stays between us until I know how to solve this problem. My wife is safe for now that's all that matters right now. I need to think of a way to deal with Fernando, he's not gonna drop the issue of wanting to kidnap my wife and that stupid son of his is sure planning something."Alex said.

"When you meant you gave him one of your territory, is that like do what in it exactly? Or what the hell do you mean?"Stefan asked.

"What I mean is that, he can do all the business he wants in it but it won't be for long. I made him think it's for long but it's not fucking for long. I can't allow him selling his fake ass firearms in my territory and then he sells fucking drugs. That's not allowed. I don't have a shitty policy like that. I do genuine business although it's fucking illegal but I have some support from the army. That's all that fucking matters and him selling all that in my territory will spread to my other territories and I can't allow that. I just needed to buy time so that I think of something. He's stupid because he's greedy and nothing goes well with greedy people."Alex said and Stefan looked at him with admiration.

"You are fucking smart. That's a great plan. I like it."Stefan complimented.

"Of course I'm smart."Alex said and at that they heard a knock and then who entered shocked Alex.

"Mom?"he whispered and Stefan smiled.

"Surprise!! You wouldn't imagine how tables have turned."Stefan whispered to Alex and then he winked. Alex creased his brows obviously confused. Stefan turned around to face Alex's mom smiling.

"Antie, didn't expect to see you here this early."h said and Elizabeth smiled.

"Yeah... I didn't either, I mean not you but myself, you are a doctor of course you should be here. I just wanted to make sure my son is fine. I see he's awake."she commented.

"Yeah...he just woke up. I'm gonna leave you two to speak."he said then he smiled at Alex and he winked at him which made Alex to make a disgusted face at him but Stefan just smiled and left.

Alex looked at his mom wondering what she's doing here."what are you doing here?"he asked and Elizabeth pursed her lips due to the cold voice his son had used on her.
