Chapter 8- The Conference Meeting.

Sebastien's POV.

I hissed at Kevin DeMonte the representative and only son of the DeMontes, when he told the shareholders in the conference fake rumours and fabricated evidence he gathered against me and my family, I almost bared out my teeth in anger, dad always prided me to keep my cool in every situation, but I was not having it today.

I was disgusted by the accusations, I didn't care if they saw how angry I was, the conference hall was filled with vampires, the shareholders were all vampires, I wanted them to know that whatever Kevin said was bullshit and it annoyed me so much that they were buying it, where did he even get all this evidence with my face in it.

" Of course" I thought inwardly, it was my uncle that made this happen, that's what Gabriel warned me of already, he was already smirking at me when  Kevin talked, I couldn't believe a family member could do this, but it wasn't hard to believe either, I've had many enemies from the family since the day I was born, maybe because I was a total different Vampire, and it made everyone watch and I had to hide some part of my difference so it won't cause too many issues with outsiders and insiders.

Even some of the vampire council members hated me, so it wasn't entirely surprising that my uncle could betray the family because of jealousy.

I turned to Gabriel who tapped my laps reassuringly, he already told me this would happen, he already got the information from his father, I just didn't believe they would go to this length to do this.

"Mr Sebastien what do you have to say about what Mr Kevin said?" Carl Leroy asked me with a smile, the whole room turned their attention to me.

"What did he say again" I asked with a smile.

Carl Leroy shifted slightly when he saw my smile, it was what I used with enemies and I never failed to defeat them everytime.

"You shouldn't joke everytime Bas" my uncle said. "You joke too much that's why you did this" he added.

I adjusted my tie and tapped the table softly, I stared at Kevin who looked so smug and happy that he won, his family members who were part of the conference meeting were already happy.

"So you're saying I did all that?" I smiled at Kevin.

"Yes, Sebastien you've been doing this for a while and you should know that every vampire all around follow the rule of the council,and you broke every rule" he rolled his sleeves.

"Hmmm" I nodded.

"With his behaviour right now you'll know he did this, he's my nephew and I know him, but I don't like what he did, the whole council could come for us at this point and stop Evey business we have" my uncle said.

"If you wanted to plant fake evidence on me, you could have done it better" I pointed to him, making everyone in the room mumble.

"He still has that arrogance, not even repenting for what he's done" he shot back.

Most of the vampires in the room nodded in acceptance to what my uncle said.

I tapped my tablet, after connecting it to the big screen we had in the room, and played a video of my uncle and the DeMontes meeting and everything they said about finding fake evidences of me making rogue Vampires which was a big rule the Vampire council made to every Vampire who were not rogues, and everyone in the room gasped in shock, my uncle turned to me and I shrugged my shoulders with a smile.

"As you've all seen in the video, I didn't do anything, and I had no place to be in this meeting in the first place" I stood up adjusting my tie slightly.

Turning to my uncle and Kevin DeMonte who kept staring at me like I grew two heads, " make a better move next time".

" The meeting is over" I waved at everyone making Gabriel laugh, I walked out like I owned the whole world.
