Chapter 79- Dinner again.

Sebastien's POV.

The tension in the room was way too calm, more than I expected, I squeezed Raina's hands and she smiled at me, I could feel her nervousness and I understood that the impression most of the people in this room gave her was not something she would love to get again with how she was feeling, but I know it was really inevitable.

I smiled as I took out the chicken from the plate for Raina, I knew she loved it, I sliced it slowly, because I didn't want her straining herself or doing anything that'll make her tired, I wanted to do when the littlest thing for her.

"Is she such a weakling that she needs her meal to be chopped into pieces before she eats?" Victor said and I smiled, his mind was already shouting the words he just said to me, so it was better he voiced it out than me listening to his loud intentions from his mind  throughout the dinner.

"No she's not a weakling, now mind your business." Gabriel said scowling, I smirked and picked the first slice of Chicken I cut to Raina, I wanted to feed her.

"What are you doing?" Raina asked, I saw her cheeks turn redder and I laughed softly.

"Duh," I rolled my eyes dramatically, "I'm feeding you." I said.

I was waiting for Grandfather to say or lay out whatever he had planned today, I knew he had a reason for calling me here.

"Oh now you're feeding her." Victor scoffed and rolled his eyes, all I did was just smirk, Raina questioned me with her eyes, but I just blinked and she relaxed a little, smiling with, I kept feeding her and she kept collecting, and beaming up at me everytime I fed her.

"Can I have your attention," Grandfather said and I mused, this must be it, he was getting to the point and mentioning what he really wanted, "I planned this dinner to thank Miss Raina for surviving," he said and Raina smiled but she raised a brow at him ,I was happy she didn't believe him totally, "and also for family and friends of many decades to come together." He added raising his wine  glass and we all did.

"We heard that Raina survived from something dangerous," Grandfather said again and I chuckled because be was finally getting there, I didn't even want to concentrate or read his mind, I stopped myself from doing that, "though we don't know what she really survived from, all I know is I saw My Grandson bring her in and he kept us in the dark except his close friend and the healer." He said.

"So I was thinking maybe she wasn't hurt, or maybe it was something minor, but because she's human that's why she was hurt, this is the reason I told my Grandson that Mate or not, she's not a good match for him." He added sighing and relaxing with a small smile.

"So I want everyone's opinion about this, I'm sure we all have something to say and contribute, please tell my Grandson to dump this human wherever he picked her up." He said staring at Raina venomously, Raina rubbed my hands slowly, I guessed she sensed that I must be getting agitated, but I was as calm and chill as ice.

"I took your practice in,I'm great at blocking my emotions now, though it makes me more dangerous." I said.

"Good, it's better it makes you more dangerous." She said with a smirk.

"I'm in support of what you're saying grandfather." Diana said with a smile.

"Why wouldn't you be, shock me with something new." Lyn replied rolling her eyes.

"But she must have just slipped, or decided to go inside the mountains and slip and fall." Diana raised her hands.

"And falling is not dangerous?" Lyn asked.

"Father I don't even know why you're doing this," My Dad said with a sigh, "you brought her in disguise of celebrating her when you came to mock her yourself, after all she's been through," dad said, "I'm so sorry Raina dear for my father's behaviour." He added with a grimace.

"I keep hearing all she had gone through,and I ask trying to know what she went through, and no one wants to answer." Grandfather barked.

"Because I asked them to not say anything." I said with a shrug.

"I knew you'll bring us here for this bullshit," I said with a small smile, "but I came here for my one reason." I added.

"And that is?" Grandfather asked.

"Who sent or made Raina captured from this house?" I asked, I knew who did it, but I just wanted to stir something up.

"What do you mean she was captured?" Grandfather asked, "I thought she wandered and got lost." He said.

I turned to all the vampires in the room and the non vampire's too but they all kept mute.

"This shouldn't take time, that girl was hurt and also poisoned with Brume." Margarita said and all eyes turned on Raina, some with shock, Grandfather was surprisingly shocked.

Everyone here knew what Brume could do to a vampire, come to talk of a human it was more lethal.

"I get it you've gotten your answer right?" I turned to Grandfather, who kept staring at Raina.

"So I'll ask again, who got her kidnapped in the first place?" I asked tapping my hands on the dinning table.

"Why do you think anyone here did it?" Diana asked and I turned to her with an unreadable expression.

"Why are you getting all defensive, did you do it?" I asked, "because you have every reason to, and from what I've found out..." I stopped halfway.

"I didn't do anything, I didn't even try, why would I?" Diana asked stuttering.

"Did you do it?" Her father asked and she shook her head.

"So you couldn't get who did that to her, " Victor laughed, "and everyone claims how strong you are, and you couldn't get who did that to your mate." Victor added and his supporters laughed.

"Oh don't worry I caught them." I said and my father and others turned to me in shock.

"So tell me now Javier," I turned to him and he shook, "why did you do it?, you even tried framing Diana in the process." I said.

"Do what, why would Javier even do this, or know about it?" Grandfather asked.

I turned to Javier who was too shocked to even move, I know he was surprised, and that's what I wanted, I didn't even come in to point fingers immediately, I needed a little drama after the calculation I made in my head.

"Oh he know trust me he knows Grandfather," I said, "oh maybe you're part of it." I mused.

"No he isn't, he didn't even know I would do it, he has no idea." Javier said immediately, then he paused after realising he just casted himself out.

"Why would you do that?" Grandfather asked genuinely shocked.

"I did it to please you sir, I wanted her to be off the picture so you would be happy she wasn't with your grandson." He said.

"No I wouldn't want that." Grandfather said still shocked, Raina looked at me asking me if it were all true and I nodded.

"You wouldn't because you just have a problem with her being human, but you don't want to kill her, because you know what it means loosing someone you love," I said and Grandfather swallowed, "you're even fascinated by her since you found out she survived Brume." I added, I was reading his mind even when I said I wouldn't, and I know what I said was true.

"I'll just have to put you in the dungeon with the Memoar and Vampire you sent," I said twirling the fork in my hands, " then I'll see what I'll do with you." I added with a smile.

"The fact that you even made those people lie against Diana is making me laugh." I said and Diana turned to him in question.

Javier stood up, I could read his mind as clear as the skies after it rains, he wanted to run, I burned him and he clutched his chest with wide eyes, shaking.

"Stop it Sebastien." Grandfather said looking at Javier still shocked, I knew he was surprised, he didn't even believe Javier would do that.

"Oh you know I won't." I said venomously, "he needs to be punished." I added.

"I'm so sorry, I just wanted to please my master." Javier said, what made upset was the fact that he wasn't remorseful, he just begged because be wanted to be free, he didn't even feel sorry, he did that mostly for his selfish reasons, not for my grandfather.

I shook my head slightly and laughed, he thought I was stupid and would fall for his lies, maybe he forgot that I could read minds and also know when someone lied, and he was lying to me right now, it made me so Irritated.

"I know you're lying, we both know that," I said slightly Irritated, "so there's no need to try and stall, it's irritaiting." I added.

I signaled Matteo to take him and Matteo stood up, Javier tried fighting but only ended up being put to a slump by Matteo.

"What an eventful dinner, touche really touche." Raina said and I chuckled.
