Chapter 148- Socializing.

Kathryn's POV.

When Bas walked up the stage, it was like the whole room stopped, some stared in shock, some with Jealousy, some I couldn't even read how they looked at me, they were too much, I didn't even know them, but they looked like important people, and pretty powerful people, I could notice some councilmen from Bas's trial and I could notice some of the druid officials I saw in the training room, but I couldn't realize half the room, it was a little strange and unnerving, but I smiled a little praying for it to take away whatever the stupid churning feeling I had in me.

Bas took my hands immediately he walked closer to me and immediately I didn't feel nervous again, it was like it went away, totally and without much effort.

He looked so damn good, I didn't even know when he returned to dress up, and I didn't know they made his suit to match my dress, we looked like we went to the same clothing store and asked for matching clothes, he his hair wasn't slicked back like he normally did in the office, he let it free and I wanted nothing more than to run my hands through it, and kiss it, cause it smelt so damn good, and it felt good, his smirk was the sexiest thing ever and I couldn't help but smirk too, he was really formidable to most people when he smirked that way, but he wasn't to me, he was so freaking sexy and it made me feel like he should kiss me right now, or I running to him and kissing him immediately because he looked so damn good.

I felt relieved and I smiled at him, he winked at me and bent down, closer to my ears making me shiver, it felt like he wanted to bite me again and the way I kept my neck indicated that I wanted that too, I wanted that so bad, if someone told me I would love a Vampire biting me, I would argue it with the person, but it felt some damn good last night and the memory got me flushing so badly.

"You're so beautiful, much more than any princess ever." He kissed my neck right in the place he bit yesterday and it was obvious he knew that, and with the way I kept my neck, I also knew that too, I smiled flushing and he smirked, he knew what he was doing.

"You're tempting me in public." I whispered and he smiled.

"Not close to how you're tempting me, without even trying, you're driving me crazy." He whispered back and I felt my neck become hot with what he said, I didn't even know I was tempting him because he kept a blank expression, he wasn't flushing or his eyes didn't darken or flicker the way it did when he was turned on, he looked like he normally did, so it surprised me when he said I tempted him, but when he smiled again, I saw his fangs retract and I realized he was right, his fangs didn't just retract, it did when he was turned on and when he wanted to attack and he didn't go full Vampire mood whenever he wanted to attack, he could simply do anything just by standing, so I knew I was the reason and I dared myself to look down and even with the carefully tailored suit of his, I could see his erection and he shifted slightly when he caught me staring, and I couldn't help but smile, I beamed and he shook his head laughing.

"You know what you do to me, I'm sure you can see it fully now." He said and I smirked, I was definitely feeling myself, but I couldn't help but feel myself, it made me feel smug, but I knew the feeling was mutual, he was definitely feeling himself because of his knowledge of how he made me feel too, so the feeling was definitely mutual, he was sky, rain, sun and everything, even though that wasn't true, but in the literal sense he was and I was happy, not just happy extremely delighted to have him with me, by my side, always supporting me and always loving me, the same way I did him.

I smiled when I realized I wasn't feeling that uncomfortable even with people staring, I was a little used to it right now, so I went downstairs to socialize, I had to socialize a little, according to what Father and brother had told me, it would make the other important and powerful druids know me, and I know them, Bas left my side to talk to Dylan, Gabriel and Matteo, I decided to do my socializing and mingling now.

"Hey Princess." Lyn said and I smiled, I kissed her cheeks and she smiled.

She did so well for me, I stared at the room and I was in awe, she did this in just a little span of time.

It was like a regal party, just the way she said it would be, and it looked like the invitation she sent out was for people to dress for a regalia, I know they weren't much royals here, but they all dressed like they came to a party that was meant for royalty, it was so beautiful, the theme matching, everyone just matched and I didn't want to brag or anything, but the gown that my mother had reserved for me was the prettiest gown here, it was so damn beautiful, I would never forget today, and the painting that was hung in the middle of the room, was so beautiful, my brother really worked hard, thinking of him, I turned to the side of the room he stood and I realized he was discussing with Matteo,Bas and Gabriel and they were laughing at something, whatever it was, I smiled a little and turned back to Lyn, as the party planner she didn't fail to look gorgeous as well.

Her hair was let loose, her eye shadow matched her blue gown, she added sparkles and it was so pretty, she made my makeup so pretty too by making the professionals do it, it looked like they did that to her too.

Her gown hugged her body and they was a flare at the end making it like a fish tail, it was beautiful, she looked beautiful, "you look beautiful." I told her and she smiled at me.

"You look gorgeous as well." She replied and I smiled.

"Now it's time for you to socialize." She said and I turned to everyone there.

I wish I really knew them, but I didn't, and I didn't really know how to make small talk with people I wasn't used to, it was kinda tiring for me, but I brushed it off.

I walked up to the first Woman I think I remembered my brother telling me she was a big druid and powerful one and her family too, I didn't remember her name well, but I decided to start the conversation with her.

"Hi," I said with a small smile and she turned to me sizing me up, her exterior expression and demeanor looked like she was a nice person, but I felt somewhat off when she stared at me.

"Oh, it's the spoilt princess." She said and I felt the colour drain from my face, I could see stares towards the place we stood and I stilled, I didn't even understand why she acted that way, I was shocked by it, but I brushed it off, and gave her a small polite smile, if she had anything bad to say about me or had anything against me, it wasn't in my place to know, I didn't even know her or her name and it was obvious she didn't want to talk to me, so I decided to play it cool and I faced the woman who was staring at us.

"Hi, I didn't really catch your name, I don't know lots of faces here." I said and the woman was startled but she masked it quickly.

"I'm Mrs Moore." She held out her hand and I shook it, ignoring the gasp from the person I wanted to talk to before, I wanted her to feel embarrassed and she certainly did, with the way I ignored her outburst,and I smiled at Mrs Moore.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," I replied, "I'm sorry if I didn't know your name quickly, I'm just getting used to everyone around, only know few people and I obviously didn't take care of the guest list, because I wouldn't know who to invite." I added and she nodded, she was pleasant to talk to and I wondered why I didn't try talking to her at first, she was pleasant to speak to.

"Are you an artist like your mother and brother?" Mrs Moore asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, though I mainly focused on aesthetics." I replied, I could feel the gaze of the woman I talked to earlier.
