Will looked like he was in his middle thirties, but somehow he acted older than his age. She guessed that was why she felt comfortable with him. They stepped in and it only took her a slight second to sight Ray.
The only problem was that Cassie was right beside him.
Ray didn't think to invite her to her own party but he could bring Cassie? They stood side by side she doubted if Ray had seen her.
What exactly was Ray to her? Why does he wanna have her and at the same time want to hide her. This was way more than hiding her, he almost didn't want to see her if it was not when he wanted to her under him.
She had suddenly gone from graceful to ungraceful.
She was still with will and somehow her gaze had met Ray's and their gaze locked for a few seconds.
Her heart had began to beat in anxiousness. She is convinced that Ray didn't feel an atom of emotional attachment to her, but his gaze said other wise. He was as struck as she was, because they both haven't moved since their gaze met.
Ray was about twenty inches away from her but it felt like the distance between them was closing in.
Cassie somehow realized how Ray's attention was no where near her. She had somehow followed Ray's gaze to whatever that had him lock.
She had realized it was Amanda, she immediately leaned in on him and Ray now realized himself as his attention now back to who stood just before him.
Are you okay? She heard will say out. It seemed he had tried speaking to her but her attention was else where.
Yea, totally fine. She responded as she now returned her attention to will but had slightly looked over Ray and he was now exchanging greetings with someone before him.
She also noticed Cassie stare and that made her uncomfortable so she looked away.
The party wasn't totally bad if not that her own personal issues wouldn't let her just have fun.
She exchanged greetings with some of the staff. She met with Annie who was side by side her husband. She spoke with Annie and she introduced her to her husband. He seemed nice and they seemed perfect together. They looked happy, they were sure happy and how much smile Annie wore when speaking to her husband gave her a little motivation. Motivation that two people could love each other and never let go.
She had somehow lost Will but she was sure he was fine. She grabbed a cocktail headed for one of the round tables and having a seat.
She sat there wallowing in her own thoughts. Maybe she was beginning to get drunk but she noticed how Ray looked at her from time to time and even if she was lust in the crowd, he would still find her.
She wasn't sure why, but could that be because he cared?
Ray wasn't an insecure person, but he had personal not told Amanda about the party for reasons best known to him.
He was happy for his achievements in Walford so far but he couldn't wish something more than to return to Ontario right now.
He was tired of sleeping out of his home, tired of eating out every single day. He always felt this way each time he stayed away from home for a long time and this time around he wanted no part of London anymore.
Amanda looked beautiful, he must confess. It was one thing lying to her or someone else but it was another thing lying to him self.
She was simply stunning and breath taking. She wore her hair in thick wavy curls which rested on her face and shoulders. She was beautiful, her full glossed up lips glowed from the distance. Her beauty radiated over the whole room and he had caught some eligible gentlemen's gaze on her with an obvious interest.
Now that dress! That dress out did it self. She was far the most beautiful girl in the room. She wore a blue v neck sleeveless gown. The v had became a little slimmer as it went down almost getting to her belly button. The deep v cut revealed a fair amount of her boobs as the back went all the way down her waist. Too revealing. He thought.
It was a long shown which got to the the floor as her toes could barely be seen if not for it's high slit nature. The dress clung to her body, revealing her magnificent figure. She had a thing for high slitted dresses and this added to the long list of evidence to his observation.
Their gaze had met a few times because he simply was not capable of keeping his gaze away from her. We so did she because she caught him staring a few times too.
He knew that Cassie noticed how he won't stop staring at Amanda and she tried in every way to take have his attention and this included very unnecessary show of affection. Clingy and all sort of PDA.
He wondered how Cassie always heard about things happening in Blazzer because she had called, asking if she could come with him to the party.
The party was a private party and only few guest were invited and he sure didn't let her know or discuss it with her, especially after she left in an irate mood the last time they were together.
Why did will leave Amanda to her self? Where had he gone? Leaving her there to her self and she was drinking.
She grabbed a cocktail, taking a seat and sat pretty. He was a little relieved after she sat, but his only worry now was Cassie who just called his attention.
Honey, do you mind us having a dance? Ray now noticed how the background music had changed to a typical ball dance slow music.
He was too occupied serving as Amanda's baby sitter to have noticed.
There was absolutely nothing wrong with going for a dance with Cassie but he simply didn't want to.
He didn't want her tugged in his arms and expect him to show some kind of emotion towards her.
There was simply nothing like that Left in him for anyone and especially for Cassie.
Sorry, I would appreciate having my seat now. I have stood for a while. He said leaving no room for her to think his mind could be change.
Perhaps another time. He added after he saw how her expression changed to disappointment.
Okay honey. He watched her immediately snap out of her disappointment as she now wore a smile. Though he doubted how genuine it was.
She put her hands over his arm as she was ready to be led to where they would settle down.
Ray led her to a round table where they were immediately served with a wine. He sipped his wine while his mind clamored around the last two days trip. He needed to settle his final deal with Albert. He didn't bring Amanda for two obvious reasons, he didn't want what happened the last time happening again, at least not on his watch and he didn't want to deal with the consuming hunger for her. But he doubted he achieved that because nothing had changed so far.
He almost hated her but at the same time still wanted her and that was a situation he had never been into so he doubted he had the mental knowledge to solve that kind of complicated situation.
Amanda sat there as she drowned her self in drinks. She wasn't high but she could slightly feel the effect of alcohol.
Ray and Cassie was being unnecessary too touchy and that was not a sight she enjoyed.
How he could make out with her today and the next day he would become a completely different person. He didn't mind the effect of his actions towards her or even to think of the least, respect her.
He was sitting with Cassie as she reached for his face every now and then. She somehow felt Cassie was initiating all the PDA, but Ray didn't seem to be complaining. If he didn't want her he would act accordingly, but she was still in his life so he must have a thing for her. A thing strong enough to keep Raymond who wouldn't dare get back to someone who tried and successfully jeopardized a business deal for him.
She decided to release the punishment on her self as she just decided to get drunk and stop stalking her boss and his supposed lover.
She hated referring to cassie as that but she didn't know a better word to describe her and her relationship with Ray.
She wondered why will was still out of sight and decided to call him to make sure he was okay. He had answered informing her that he got an emergency at home regarding his pregnant wife and that he was sorry he didn't let her know before he left.
It's okay. Amanda said.
Hope she is alright?
Yes, the doctors are with her now.
Alright good to know. Safe delivery.
Thanks a lot. He responded.
She dropped the call, resting her two hands on the table as her head rested on them. She stared into the table as she wondered how she would go home.
Hey. You.....
She heard a voice speak from above her and she raised her head to see who.
