Hello readers, check out my new book "Mr Devil And Little Me," Will be updated daily.
He made his way to the garage where he entered his Ford truck and headed out.
It was barely a twenty minutes drive.
Her knew apartment was way closer to him than her old one. He hated the ideas that thought was sending to his head but he saw its points.
He pulled up at the mini estate where he packed just before her new apartment. It was a set of one story buildings but in a way that they almost rounded each other.
He noticed a mini truck load of boxes as he looked up to see three people who he seemed to recognize quite well.
He went up, exchanging pleasantries with Mr Abruzzi.
Lang said hello and Amanda greeted good afternoon.
He handed the key to Abruzzi who immediately opened the door. The ladies made their way in, before Mr Abruzzi and himself followed.
The environment was a little tensed for him, though the ladies were mostly up and about. But he felt an awkwardness especially with the ladies.
Lang acted like her usual self, matter of fact he never really had a conversation with Lang before.
He only spoke to her occasionally when Tyler was not available. He noticed how Amanda avoided him. He planned on leaving as soon as possible but he had decided to be a little resourceful as he offered to fix the kitchen sink after he overhead Lang complain it was somehow left unchanged though the equipment needed was left in the sink.
Mr Abruzzi left after they offloaded the van. But the ladies were still busy arranging some items.
He was half way through the job before he heard a foot step just outside the kitchen door, so he called out for the person.
"Who is close? I might need a hand here." He said hoping to get a response.
Amanda walked in through the kitchen entrance.
"Hey." She said.
"Hey." He responded.
"It's a little dark under here, I need you holding the flash light down for me."
Amanda was now about three feet away from him, he stood from where he was working on.
Handed her a touch light that the worker had probably forgotten along side the left out sink work.
His hands had brushed over her skin and it surprisingly sent a feeling he was now fighting within him. His gaze had somehow moved to her and they froze for a split second.
"It's getting slightly late, you should probably get to it.." Amanda said as he returned to the work at hand.
"Hand me the white plastic screw." He said as she handed it to him.
Amanda didn't feel like the privilege she was given was awarded to other staff, she felt it was obviously due to Ray's influence if not completely his doing. She didn't know if to feel a certain way about it or to be just grateful.
'oh what do you really want girl!' she thought to her self.
Just days ago she was feeling terrible after Cassie made her think he wasn't even treating her half the way he treated other people, but now that he had outdone himself for her, she still wanted to make another deal out of it."
Maybe she should just be appreciative because all this was really thoughtful and generous.
"All done." She heard him say as he now stood up, facing her again.
She didn't know why she wasn't able to keep up heed to her own advice by not thinking anything of him aside him as her boss. All her past anger had suddenly disappeared.
Oh, a customized Maserati could do alot in absorbing anger.
She was relieved and a little excited when she heard he was coming to bring the keys, but now he was here, she did everything to avoid him. To avoid his gaze or his presence.
His face was a little sweaty and she had to admit that everything literally added to this man looking even hotter.
Their gaze had met again, but this time it was more captivating. His hair was roughed, almost all over his face.
"Thanks you." She said out.
"Thank you about everything. She added."
"Shh...
Shh...
Don't say it." He said as he used one of his fingers to cross her mouth.
"Don't thank me...." He added in almost a whisper and that got her completely under his spell.
His fingers retracted from her lips as she noticed his gaze move to her lips and back to her eyes.
They were beginning to lean in towards each other, their gaze locked and she couldn't see or think about any other thing asides of him.
He was magnificent to say the least. Her nostrils was once again glad to be graced with his refreshing scent.
She didn't know when, but she had subconsciously raised her hand to the middle of his chest as she looked up at him with their lips almost in contact.
"Mmm
Mmm" Lang clears throat.
"Guys. I think these dish plates belongs to the kitchen."
Or maybe not? She said with an amusing mouth gesture before stunning out with the plates.
Amanda took her gaze to the floored tiles, letting out a grin before looking up at Ray again. They had snapped out of their previous state as Ray looked down at his hands, admitting he needed to wash them.
She stood behind him, waiting as he washed his hands.
He was done now and she offered him a towel that was hung somewhere in the kitchen.
"I guess I am done here and will be heading home now." Ray said as the two of them walked out the kitchen.
He bid good bye to Lang as Amanda walked him out.
"I guess I will see you tomorrow?" Amanda asked, but it wasn't really a question, more like a statement.
"I guess." He responded before making his way to his truck and driving out.
Ray was glad he had decided to take those keys, he had alot he wanted to say to her, but he was glad to see her happy at least.
He wanted a one on one conversation with her, their last relationship had series of obstacles, so he wanted to address each and every of the issues to start as fresh. Be it as just his secretary or friends or even more than friends.
He liked her and he didn't mind opening him self to her, again.
Albert had explained his relationship with Amanda the morning before he left for Canada. They were once in a long distance relationship. Albert had also let him know that Amanda paid him no serious attention. Even though that wouldn't have stopped him from making his intentions known to her, but he was glad he was made aware.
He wanted to hear everything and all she had to say, and if she wanted nothing to do with him aside from being his assistant, he would totally understand and respect her decision.
Lang was making all sort of jokes from the scene she had seen earlier and Amanda laughed even thou Lang was mocking her and how she swore she didn't want him just few days ago.
"But nothing happened." Amanda yelled out.
" Only because I disrupted it.
I saw you Amanda, you guys were a bed away from smushing each other.
I saw you, your mouth was already set out waiting to be kissed."
Amanda laughed with a little mix of embarrassment.
Was it really that obvious how much she prayed for that kiss?
" I don't know what you are saying, he is my boss and nothing else."
" You know that is far from true, I have never seen or imagined Raymond fixing a sink for himself or even for anyone else."
Amanda almost blushed through her brown skin with that remark.
"I think he is winning my heart and approval just slowly" Lang said sarcastically.
"He is?" She enquired in excitement.
"No, stay away from him." She said sternly before they both laughed it off.
Amanda was happy Raymond had come by, she missed him. She admitted.
Her feelings for him did not happen to change but she knew it would with time. 'Because time heal everything.' they often said.
It was past 7 P.M before lang said was going home.
"The boys needs their mama." She said as she packed her stuff and headed to the exit as Amanda followed.
She had Thanked her before she boarded her taxi which she had booked earlier.
Amanda was back in the house and now she had the time to admire her new place.
It had a brown leather couch, a nice little dining place. The place was painted all white, had brown thick curtains instead of blinds and she loved it. The room had this large bed with an expensive looking bed frame which gave the room a luxurious look. The room was particularly wide with a wide wardrobe. She had a high shoe shelf to the side and a nice book chambers. It was a beautiful apartment and she couldn't be more grateful.
It was the next day. Ray was still on his way to work and he couldn't wait to seat and have a talk with Amanda, maybe over break fast.
He wondered how it would go, and he promised to comply with whatever she decided.
