Chapter seventy-seven

Philip arrives at amber home early in the morning he waits outside for his boss to wake up, 

He was sitting in his car and thinking of ways to leave the country he sighed heavily as he removed his hands from the steering.

Ring!

He was startled by the sound of his phone and as he picks it up 

All he heard was "come in"

He looks out through the window to see if she had seen him.

He walks out putting his hand in the pockets of his dark leather jacket and walks to the front door and knocks, 

He stays there for a while before the door was opened, one look at the boy he said "good morning carl welcome home"

Carl nodded and moved to the side, he knew this was his sister's lieutenant but this is their first meeting.

He shuts the door and walks back to sit on the sofa

Philips walks upstairs and knocks on  the door and amber tells him to come in, she tells him she wants new identities for two and she gave their passport to him

He watches the passport for a short while before he speaks

Boss this us meddling, that girl belongs to the hakims and the boy to the Abdul salams

Philip if I have to do it for carl, carl is family and they are his friends unless I have to be careful of you ratt8ng me out.

What about the family, what about don Vicente, what should I tell him when he finds out

He doesn't have to know about it amber said watching the man fight his conscience.

I want it by the end of today and remember that only you know where they are and if anything happens I don't have to tell you what will happen she concluded.

She did not have to worry he had moved his daughter he thought to himself swallowing hard.

He picked the passport and left the room he had his cell to hold his ears immediately after and he called a trusted friend who promises the papers before the end of the day.

Amber goes about her routine like normal and she cautions then not to leave the house.

Carl goes out and gets whatever was needed from the general store and the play charade all through.

The day and by the end of it Philip had brought it to the house and hid it and he went back out doing the duties he waited for amber

To come back home, he found some of Damian's files and he saw what Damian was doing with the files.

He has been embezzling funds and sending them to an offshore account,

That was why the books were not balanced after each audit.

Little bits of the money had been reduced from different places and days.

That seemed to be why the lending business was suffering, it seemed he has been increasing the interest, that was why they could not pay off.

The earlier books were clean and smooth but these had way too many holes, the done have not seen this yet, he has to go get Damian before he leaves the city.
