Chapter 312

Mason called me Briggs and they had along chat and then fixed an appointment.

Me Briggs was really shocked something like this would happen , someone who he did not know popping up today he has a letter for him with her signature.

He knew she did not trust anybody so why was she trusting him?

He agreed to meet him and his letter just to verify , if he is a fraud he would have no option than to get him arrested

But firstly he would meet with the gentleman who had told him he is a doctor n the general clinic.

He called her clinic and it got confirmed but still he would scrutinise the letter and see.

Briggs lit a cigar and reclined in his office chair after the call he was thinking about amber's death when his cellphone rang.

And now all he would do is continue with this new information that he just received.

He thought about who mason dale is in amber's life , all he knew about her was how cold she was , she was generous yes!

But she did not have the heart to endure betrayal , he lent it on the job and h has not been working with her for long , just a couple of months and the little he knew felt like he has been with her all his life.

And now he pondered how he never came across mason.

As he passed his cigar and dropped it in the ash tray , he moved closer to his vault and searched for her will and after he found it he closed it back up and then reclined back in his chair.

He had three copies in case anything was I happen and it was all amber's idea.

But still h had to make sure the one in his office was safe.

H checked his time and stood up abruptly.

He had a dinner appointment with one of his clients and he is late.

He rushed taking his suit top which had been lying on his office cushion

And ran out straight to find a taxi that would take him to the venue.

Mason on the other hand had gone back upstairs to inform amber of the development.

He would be going to see the lawyer  tomorrow in the morning by eight.

But he would not tell her the lawyer was being suspicious of him, that is his own problem to deal with.

As he pushed open the door he sa her lying there and her eyes were right shut as she slept peacefully.

He walked back out to the living room with the tray he had brought the juice and sandwich with.

She had eaten small and he was glad about it , she would be able to eat properly soon he consoles himself , it is a gradual process he said I himself as he walked over put on the television and relaxed on the sofa.

The news had her picture and the heading under had recap in front of it.
