“I will accept, Dad, I thought Mr. Stones, is the best accountant in NY, dad?” he asked, Old Man Bill agreed with a nod, Mr. Stone's frown, sensing the kid is making such statement is up to nothing good.
“Dad, we have such a capable hand like him, he should be reporting to me about the financial situation of the expansion, what do you think Mr. Stones?”
Jo asked and reclined on the chair he was sitting on, Mr. Stones became flustered, he didn't know how to disagree with him.
"Of course, it is settled, son” Old Man Bill agreed immediately, glancing at Mr. Stones, who didn't say anything, he smiled nervously.
Jo stood and walked to the door, “I will introduce you to the expansion team” Old Man Bill said behind him.
He turned around holding the door knob, and nodded “I have so many files on my table” he squinted his eyes on his father.
Old Man Bill coughed hysterically, Jo frowned at his father, before leaving his office.
“Are you alright?” Mr. Stones asked, concerned about the health of his boss and good friend “Of course” he said, and sipped from his tea cup.
Amanda was busy behind her desk, she was filing all the requests, those who want to see her boss, she was surprised to see Jo's face close to her.
And he wasn't looking pretty with the frown on his face.
“Stop sending those files to my desk” he warned and straightened up, he smiled at the petrified Amanda “where is the meal?” he asked with an arched eyebrow.
She instinctively handed the box of her food without thinking twice, he took it and smiled before leaving with it.
She exhaled when he was gone, her eyes widened when she regained her senses, that she has given away her lunch box.
Philip smiled ruefully when Arial opened the door and stepped in, she looked downcast, he smiled, and sipped from the wine glass in his hand.
“You are back” he gave a mirthless chuckle, tears clog on Arial's corners of eyes “what do you want?” she said in betwixt sobs.
Philip shrugged “I want you back, he stole you from me, I can't let you be with that dimwit, and a cheater” he snorted.
Arial covered her ears, she doesn't like people talking bad about Jo “stop!” she retorted with tears streaming down her eyes, “You know nothing about, Jo, he can never cheat on me” she said, taking a deep breath.
Philip's lips curled up in a snarl “you are so confident, what was he doing with that pretty secretary in those pictures, why did he follow her home, huh?” he asked, Arial was speechless.
She took a deep breath “there must be misunderstanding, he will explain to me” she reaffirmed.
Philip half-laughed at her disposition, and glared at her, “how about I send these pictures to him so that he can also ask you what you are doing in your ex-boyfriend's arms?”
