"Really?" Anne scoffed, turning to look at him. "You didn't know that it was me? You expect me to believe that? How pathetic! If you need me to remind you about the obvious differences between Susan and I, I will gladly do so! One, Susan is more busty than I'm! In fact, her bust is even three times the size of my little lemons! Hers her melons! Two, Susan has got a bigger ass too while mine is just average! Three, Susan is shorter than I'm! Four, Susan has got fuller lips than I do! So tell me, how did you not notice all this?! How?!"
"Well..." Jerry drawled as he slowly moved his head side to side, unable to deny that Anne was right in all the comparisons. "Damn, you are right babe! Now, that you've mentioned all that, I guess I only failed to notice them because I was too eager to get laid." He confessed.
"I told you to wait till after the anniversary!"
"And I thought that you changed your mind and wanted to go all spontaneous and naughty with me since the house was deserted and everybody was at the game."
"Oh really!" She said I sarcasm then suddenly asked: "So, what position did you two fuck?"
Caught by surprise at her unexpected question, Jerry swallowed hard, "Is that really necessary?" He carefully asked.
"Answer me, Jerry!" She snapped.
"Babe, giving you details about how we had sex might only end up making you feel worse and that will only be to my own detriment." Jerry protested.
"Just answer the damn question Jerry or I'll grab you by the balls and squeeze till you hear them crush!" Anne snapped in a menacing tone.
Jerry stared at her in surprise. "Damn babe, I've never seen you this mad before! Relax!" He said then calmed down a bit as he reluctantly murmured while he averted his gaze. "We did it in the bathroom, she positioned with her back pressed against the wall."
"Which means that you had her big booty in your hands and also her bog boobs pressed against her chest, so tell me how the hell you didn't notice the difference, you fucking liar!" She accused. "Why do I have a feeling that you have always wanted to have sex with Susan all this time?! Perhaps, you were always pretending not to like her!"
"That's so not true! You know that I never liked Susan! That girl is something else but I didn't expect you to almost kill her!"
"Yeah..." Anne said softly as she leaned the side of her head against the window. "I know that I overreacted but I couldn't help it! I wonder why it took me this long to realize what a bitch that girl really is! We have been friends for almost nine years and little did I know that she held a grudge against me for four years!" Anne vented.
"But you didn't have to go sleep with her boyfriend too! Now, I don't even know how to get the fact that you slept with Stephen out of my head!" Jerry said with a disgusted frown.
"I swear that I had no idea how or when that happened! All I could remember after I woke up was the fact that I had been very horny and when Stephen reached for me, thinking that I was Susan, I let him have it, because in my drunk state, I had forgotten that I had already broken up with my cheating ex. I guess my mind had already anticipated our meeting because we hadn't seen for two weeks prior to our meeting and we had discussed all the crazy sex we wanted to have, but that hadn't happened because I found out that the fool had only been using me and had already done his traditional marriage with his ex whom I thought he had stopped seeing."
"So, how didn't you also figure out that it didn't feel like your ex when you were having sex with Stephen? Unlike me, you had no soap on your face... I mean no offense, but you once told me that your ex was on the average side, stubby and all but Stephen is fucking tall and that guy is quite endowed! How didn't you notice the very obvious difference? From the way Susan described it, you had your legs on his shoulders which meant that he was hitting deeper than you were used to taking!"
"COULD YOU JUST SHUT UP?!" Anne yelled in disgust and frustration now, raising her hands towards her ears. "I get your point, okay?! But you are not making things any better by being annoyingly descriptive about it! I was heartbroken and drunk?! Though it doesn't justify what happened between Stephen and I, but when I woke up, I thought it was all a dream even though it had felt so real! I don't even know if I'm going to be able to look at Stephen the same way again! I mean, this sucks and everything is just so complicated that I wanna leave all these behind and go far far away!"
"Listen Anne, we have both made our mistakes and no matter how hard we try, we can't fix them. All I want now is for us to make up and move on. Let's just pick up our broken pieces, put them together and try to make the best out of this ugly situation. Let's just make this work baby." Jerry pleaded in a sober tone.
"It will be very difficult to get the fact that you had once slept with my best friend too out of my head." Anne said.
"Speaking of difficult, how do you think that I'll feel now knowing that Stephen has once slept with you?" Jerry asked.
"We weren't even dating, Jerry." She said in defense. "We hadn't even met!"
"Yeah, accepted, but the fact that we slept with each other's best friends is going to continue to haunt us if we don't fix this and let it go."
Anne sighed and reluctantly murmured: "I don't know Jerry. I still just can't believe that Susan would deliberately try to ruin my relationship just to hurt me for something I didn't even know that I did to her... She could have said something but instead, she kept it and even helped me get rid of the baby!"
"Yeah...I tried to warn you that she's been hitting on me but you never listen. She even caressed my crotch while you were taking a nap in the back seat on our way to Stephen's house." Jerry finally confessed.
Anne's eyes widened. "And you said nothing?!"
"Anne, we both know that you wouldn't have believed me! You trust Susan so much that you turn a blind her to every evil thing she does!"
"Fine... I'll admit that...but I'm wiser now. Tonight has revealed to me that not all friends are truly friends after all. I didn't mean to go all crazy on her like I did but I could stand her stupid smirk and gloating!" Anne said in slight irritation. "I just pray she survives this though; I'm not going to go to jail for what she brought upon herself."
"You'll be fine." Jerry assured her. "Everyone knows that she had it coming."
When Anne sighed again, a short silence ensued between them before Jerry broke the silence by opening his door, stepping out of the car and getting out then knelt down in the rain.
"What are you doing?" Anne asked in surprise and confusion.
"Baby, I'm sorry!" Jerry apologized. "I know that I've broken your trust but I promise that it will never happen again.”
Anne seemed to soften as she stared at her fiancé getting beat by the rain.
"Ever been struck by lightning before?" She asked with an amused smile now and Jerry quickly looked up, warily searching the sky for any sign of lightning.

Meanwhile in Stephen's car...
"So, we are just going to sit here and pretend that we don't exist?" Stephen finally broke the silence unable to take it anymore.
"I don't want to talk to you, Stephen." Violet said, her face turned towards the wound-up window.
"How long are we going to continue like this?" Stephen asked in despair. "We had a lot going for us-"
She cut him off. "We had a lot going for us until you ruined it by letting your ex back into the picture!" She snapped.
"But you knew all along that I still had feelings for her; you knew, Violet...and it wasn't even as if we were dating or something!" He tried to defend himself.
She turned her head to glare at him now. "Oh! That's your excuse?"
"But that's the blunt truth! We didn't feel anything for each other." He answered.
"Why not speak for yourself alone!" She retorted.
He paused now. "Wait...there was something?" He curiously asked.
She looked away again.
"C'mon, just say it!"
"Does it mean anything to you that we were actually going to make love the night your ex showed up?"
"Yeah, but I didn't think it meant anything. People have sex all the time with no emotions attached." He answered.
"And that was why you slept with Susan that night?"
"She seduced me and because I still had feelings for her, it was difficult to resist." He truthfully answered.
"And what excuse have you got for Grace? I saw you both and you were naked." She questioned.
"I know that you wouldn't believe me but what I had with Grace was not consensual; I only complied because she had me under duress!"
Violet scoffed in disbelief. "Are you saying that she forced you? That's not impossible! You are way stronger; she couldn't have overpowered you!"
"She didn't need to! She simply used blackmail! She threatened to cut her throat if I didn't do it!"
"And you fell for that?" She gave him a surprised look, slowly shaking her head.
"What was I to do? She seemed like she would have made good her threats if I hadn't given in to her demand! She was that desperate." He said.
"You could have pried the weapon out of her hand! You are a soldier for God's sake, act like one!" She said flatly.
"Yes I'm, but I seem to be weak towards women..." He said in despair "...and it's a thing I'm working on."
"And that's definitely not one of the qualities I need in my man... I mean, how could you have been so stupid to even sleep with Anne?!" Violet asked in dismay.
"You heard Susan herself, I wasn't even aware of what I did! I was drunk and didn't fucking know that I did it with the wrong woman! How's that my fault?" He asked, slightly angry that she was using every woman that he had slept with against him.
"You should stay sober more for your own good because I just can't tell what's the next thing you might do!" She said with a snort.
"Fine, we all make mistakes and I've accepted mine but after discussing all my errors, what about yours? You have been openly flirting with Eric!" He accused.
"Eric is just a friend!"
"A friend my ass and yet you let him kiss you like that?!"
"Are you actually jealous?"
"No, I'm not!" He quickly refuted then awkwardly added: "I just don't see why you should let some guy kiss you like that."
"It was a game!"
"You could have simply asked him to drink but you just sat there and let him run his tongue inside your mouth!"
"Last time I checked, the mouth is mine and I don't owe anyone any explanation on how I use it!" She retorted. "And speaking about who keeps violating one's rights without asking for consent, you are the one who raped me and also kissed me without my permission just to show off!" She bit back.
He turned sideways to look at her, his hand stretched out towards the back of her seat. "I didn't know that I need any permission to kiss what is mine." He cockily said.
"It's not yours, Stephen!"
"So whose is it? That bonehead, Eric?"
"Eric was never interested in me! He has his eyes for Grace. He only got close to me because he liked her and wanted me to be an intermediary!" She explained.
"And you couldn't tell me?" He asked, feeling a big relief now.
"Last time I checked, I'm am not obligated to report anything to you."
"Fine, so will you at least answer the question Doris asked you during the game? There's nobody here but us."
"About?" She asked.
"If you are in love with me. You drank instead of answering."
"You did the same when it was your turn." She accused too.
"Fine, I guess we are even. Let's just have a deal now, if I answer mine, promise you'll do the same."
"Promise." She answered.
"Right...what was the question again?"
"Anne asked who you'd kiss if given the opportunity." She told him.
"Alright..." Without any warning, he placed his hand at the back of her head, pulled her close, tilted his head to the side and captured her lips in a gentle but long kiss. When he finally let her go and she had to catch her breath a bit while she secretly blushed, he said, "There, you have it, your answer... So, your turn, are you in love with me?"
Violet pursed her lips, shyly hesitating a bit. As he waited for her to reply, his phone started to ring- it was his younger brother, Emmanuel. Receiving the call, he spoke into it: "Bro?"
"The doctor just came out of the theatre." Emmanuel informed him.
"Alright, we are on our way." Stephen replied and ended the call. They both opened the door and got down the car and Stephen quickly pressed down on the horn to signal to Jerry and Anne who were parked several feet in line with his own car with just a car separating them. Soon, all four ran through the rain again back into the hospital where they found the doctor already standing with Emmanuel.
"How did it go?" Stephen asked the doctor.
"We had to shave her head to get at the several fragments of glass that were embedded in her skull. We also had to give her blood transfusion because she had lost a lot of blood." The doctor informed them.
"Is she going to be okay?" Anne asked in concern.
"Yes, she is. She's also lucky that she was brought in quickly too if not the concussion would have caused a cerebral hemorrhaging." Said the doctor.
"Can we see her?" Anne who had been feeling remorseful, anxiously asked.
"Not now, she's still unconscious." The doctor declined. "When she comes to, I'll let you know."
"Alright." Stephen said, shaking hands with the doctor who did the same thing with Jerry and Emmanuel before leaving to attend to other patients
"Besides the fact that it will be a very bad idea to drive in this storm, we will wait in the car till Susan is conscious." Stephen said.
