Chapter Twenty two.

Elena's POV.

This morning, I woke up feeling refreshed and all ready to work.

Today would be the day that I would visit the office, my presence will most definitely be intriguing to most of the people. I had become a national sensation overnight, after what transpired yesterday.

The news headlines this morning was even more hectic than yesterday's own. The headlines looked like this;

NEWEST LSC DIVA ELENA YOUNG BAGS THREE ENDORSEMENT DEALS OVERNIGHT.

ELENA YOUNG LOOKS LIKE THE MOST FAVOURED OF ALL THE NEWEST LSC MEMBERS AS SHE BAGS THREE ENDORSEMENT DEALS OVERNIGHT.

BIG BRANDS HAVE MADE THEIR CHOICE,AND WE DON'T DISAGREE.

I myself was shocked beyond words when I found out from Elena that I had been chosen by three huge brands to endorse their products,one was a skincare brand, the second was a clothing brand and the last one was a shoe brand.

Katie had asked for my permission to accept or decline the different brands, and I had told her to do the necessary research (which I didn't really think was necessary) and then decide which one was good enough for me to endorse or advertise.

She had gone ahead to accept all three and now I had much work to do. The netizens themselves were running wild, now I had a huge fan base and a minimal amount of haters. They aired their opinions on the internet and started fan wars and arguments.

One user said;

"Heaven knows what Elena Young did to be recognized, because two weeks ago I didn't even know that such a person existed,and then POOF, she comes out of nowhere and snatches three huge deals, that happens only in fairy tales, Amelie Banks is certainly the most suitable  candidate for the job by the way, those brands obviously made the wrong decision ."

"You are definitely low on morals and so think that every other person is the same, Elena Young is an influencer and now that LSC has taken her under their wing, I don't think she has to do anything gruesome to gain recognition, STOP DEMORALIZING THE POOR WOMAN, and by the way Elena is the most suitable candidate so those brands definitely made the right choice, I applaud them for their eagle eyed decision and for chosing the best of the best." another user replied.

The first user was under fire because of his comment as another person replied;

"Elena Young, definitely deserves what she has now, the brands chose the best woman for the job, your silly favorite could not do it even if she tried, Elena's grace speaks for her"

"Yes agreed, her grace speaks volumes" another user concurred with the one preceding her.

The internet was in pandemonium and my picture was everywhere on the internet. I was not used to being discussed like this and I had conflicting feelings about the way people were airing their opinions on me, but I was made to understand that it was a normal thing and that I should not worry as this would go on almost everyday, it only goes to show that I am making progress.

I could not help but wonder why I stood out among the rest that had made the brands chose me for the job, maybe it was the same reason Lorenzo chose me as THE ONE.

Speaking about the latter, I had earlier suspected that he was behind the recent confusing happenings, but I was wrong, he told me that he had absolutely nothing to do with the various brand's choices, I knew that he had the power to influence them into doing what he liked but I also felt and knew deep within me  that he was being completely honest with me, he did not have a reason to lie to me.

"I have put you in there, you have to do the rest, using your talents your wits and your head, you should not let anyone fool you, I will not interfere with your career, so you have to do your best to keep it moving, set the pace for yourself and don't let anyone disrupt you, I will only help when you ask me to and that too when it is absolutely necessary,so make sure you conquer by all means, I am seriously rooting for you."  Those were his words to me and now as they replayed in my head, I had no doubt that he was being completely serious and honest.

I thought about the way he was playing fair, I would have definitely had an advantage over the other people, but those words showed that we were all at the same level, I had to use my head to push myself forward and that is exactly what I intended to do.

In my current predicament, I did not regret anything. Katie had out it through my head that I had done it on my own.

"You have the potential to do the job, that is why you were chosen,  those brands chose who they think will pull off the job the best, and you happened to be the best candidate, three brands cannot make the same mistake at the same time, remember that  this will put you in the front line before your colleagues,  you will receive a lot of fire, both insude and out, but this is the recognition you need as a new signee so you can not dilly dally with it,  you just need to have the confidence and believe that you can pull everything off, then it would not be so hard,but then again I know that you have all these so you better put them to good use" She had given me this advice when she noticed that I had not welcome the opportunity with open arms, rather I had been thinking about the way I would steal the spotlight from the others.

That was in the past, now I was ready to take the lead and steal the show, I had everything it takes to be successful, the charisma, the discipline and the talent coupled with many other virtues, I was sure that I would excel, but I had to start from my three new deals, and I couldn not do that if I don't get to the office quickly, I had to check myself to stop the habit of being lost in thought, now was not the time to delay, I had a meeting to attend, and one of the biggest virtues that I needed was punctuality, so I put on my  six inch high pump stilettos, looked at my reflection in the mirror,then exited the room.

Katie was ready and she too was in a suit the only difference between she and I was the color of our suits, she was in a gray coloured dress suit, while I on the other hand was in a black coloured dress suit that I paired with a scarf, my black designer hand bag was in my hand, while she was fondling her briefcase.

"Are you ready" she asked.

II tipped my dark sunglasses and sent a kiss her way from my dark red lips. 

"I most definitely am" I replied.

"You certainly looked dressed to kill, and you look like you received a huge confidence boost" I replied.

"I am dressed to kill, my opponents that is, so you are safe, for the meantime" I teased.

"That's good" she answered and continued looking at me a ghost of a smile was playing on her lips.

"So where are we headed first and why do you look so amused, do I look funny" I asked.

"No you look... hot, and we are going to Real Apparels first" she replied.

Real Apparels was a multi million brand that produced quality clothing, it was not exactly the most expensive clothing brand, but it was not something I could  have afforded before either. 

"Okay, then it is settled Real apparels it is, so when we are done there we head back home?" I asked.

"I'll need to pick up a few things from the office,and it is high time you get acquainted with the people there". She replied.

The idea itself was scary, meeting people of the higher class,but I kept reminding myself that I was part of the higher class now, so I need not fear anything.

"Alright then, let's go" I replied, putting my sunglasses in place and stepping out. I was took the wheel of the Lamborghini and waited for Katie to step in. When she did, I stepped on it and zoomed off.
