Bound to the CEO

"What do you mean by that" Elena asked, quite confused.

" Well, the queen has asked them to wear ball gowns, so they have done so, no one dares defy the queen, except of course me and you. " Katie continued.

"Elena's eyes at this point we're as round as saucers, do you mean that she actually gave an announcement and told them to wear ball gowns, are they in some sort of group chat or something." Elena voiced her thoughts.

Katie scoffed, "of course not, let me show you" she brought out her phone and went to Valerie's social media account which had a whole LOT of followers, there was a recently posted picture, where she was wearing a  blue coloured Cinderella ball gown. It was embedded in precious stones of different colours and gave a kind of unearthly beauty, Elena did not even want to think of the amount of money spent on that dress alone. The woman herself was done up properly and she looked like a newly unboxed barbie doll.

Elena gasped, " So because she wore this, now everybody wants to wear a ball gown, to work! What the heck is wrong with these people? Do you think there is a brain fever going around in this building" Elena found it hard to believe that only a picture could influence tons of people to do something that was completely insane and irrational.

"But they were busy acting as if I NEEDED to wear the ball gown,as if it was a necessity. I did not get their behavior, one even said that it is over for me and my career." She stated.

" Well, that is because you ARE supposed to wear it, according to them, she is their queen bee, anything she commands you to do, you do. And they do it, even if they murmur complains and hate the whole thing, they still do it, so as to not get in her bad books, so it was probably outrageous for them to see you in that attire, I am longing to see her reaction when she sees you in casual clothes, not taking part in the circulating madness." Katie suppressed a smile.

" What's the worst that could happen to me, I mean, it's me we are talking about here, Lorenzo would not let my career end at his sister's hand, I on the other hand would not just stand there and watch her tear my career to shreds" Elena was ever optimistic.

" You may be right, but she has the power to put you in a stagnant position where you would not be able to move forward. But then again, I would not let that happen, so in a way, you are right, what is the worst she could do. " Katie was also on the optimistic side.

They stayed in silence, contemplating the possibility of being taught a lesson by Valerie, and both decided that the chances were very low, she did not have anything in them, but they did not have anything on her too, so they were both relying on luck and Lorenzo.

"Are we still going for that meeting with Beam magazine?"
