Soon every other person who Lanre was yet to do their make up followed suit. They wiped up the make up that has been applied on their face on their face so far. The girls were baffled.
“We are definitely getting to that church late today”. Lanre muttered. She then decided to hurry up so it doesn’t become too pressing on her afterwards. So she now spends lesser time on one person’s make up compared to when she first started.
“What sort of thing is this? Why did you people clean off the make up we did on your faces? You people will pay o”. The one who had asked Lanre if she was their boss said.
Lanre smirked. It seems this one is the loud one among them all. But she didn’t give a care. If they had agreed to do as she said, then they would have gotten paid. She was personally going to make sure they do not get paid. It will only take her a little act of manipulation, and they will be getting nothing. Not even thanks for coming!
“Lanre, please come. Anita wants you in her room”. That was Ify. She had come to call Lanre to come help Anita fix her make up.
According to Anita, “this make up artist must be thinking my face is a canvas, she can just paint any colour in it”.
Lanre acted as though she did not just hear Ify calling her.
“Lanre! Anita needs you in her room. The make up artist did a bad job. She said she does not like it”. Ify said.
“Tell them that practice makes perfect. They should keep up the practice. And Anita should be happy she is the model for today. She will get free pictures and yeah, lovely compliments that is contrasting”. Lanre said when she managed to reply Ify.
Ify was baffled. She asked Lanre what was wrong with her. But Lanre did not answer.
“You know, you do not always have to show that you are mean”. Ify said to Labre which really got to her.
“And you do not always have to act like you are actually nice”. Lanre retorted.
But Ify defended herself. “Lanre I am actually nice. Go beat yourself with that”. Ify said.
“Ok!” Lanre replied. Ify was really pissed that she was forced to yell at Lanre asking her what came over her all of a sudden. At also told her she was getting worst
“I have heard you ma, Miss Georgina”. Lanre replied. It was merely a sarcastic statement. She was referring to Ify as someone who always judge people.
“Are you trying to make me look bad here?” Ify asked frowning at Lanre. Lanre told her she was also doing the same thing.
“I do know that I have done my part”. Ify said walking away. Lanre just focused on what she was doing.
Meanwhile, all the while Lanre and Ify were busy talking, gestures were being exchanged by those who saw it as fun watching two people quarrel.
