One Of These Shitty Things

K kissed Lanre’s forehead and entwined there fingers together. She looked exhausted, but her beauty never faded off the background. It has become more prominent as she lays with her eyes closed. He wished she was not sleeping already. He was really finding it difficult to let her be. It seems he has suddenly become an addict. Lanre was like a drug he wouldn’t want to part with. He kissed her neck and then kissed her lips. He only wanted to kiss her lips and leave it that way, but his desire for her beclouded his brain. He wouldn’t let go of her lips and ended up waking her from sleep.

“You are awake!” He muttered, when he saw her eyes flick open. “You have refused me to sleep”. She replied. Then she welcomed his mouth on hers. They both kiss for yet a little while.

K thought this was the perfect time to go on with his plan. “Lanre, what would you say if I told you I am addicted to you?” He asked. She smirked. Then she asked him if he was.

“Isn’t it obvious?” He said to her. She just let a crooked smile grace her lips. “It is obvious you can’t stop f**king me Kehinde. But you will soon get over it. You will tire of me and push me away”. She said to him. Then she opened her eyes fully and looked at him. She kissed him, this time she was the one exploring his mouth as if she was “Dora the explorer”.

K pulled her back. “I can’t prove you wrong in one day, but I hope I am able to do that one day”. He said to her. She furrowed her eyebrows trying to figure out the meaning of what K has said. She smiled when she finally got it. She had almost laughed when he first said it thinking he meant to achieve what cannot be achieved in one day, in one day at last. But she realised he meant after days put together, one day would tell.

“I would have say that I would love to see you try, but I do not think there is time for that as much as I can barely even see us spending any more time together. I do not know how you plan on achieving that, but, I think you should not try at all. I will be going for youth service and then I will be really busy, I won’t have time for a sex relationship or one of these shitty things. I……”

K thought she was saying too much. He cuts her off with a kiss, pulling her naked body that was hidden under the sheets close to him. Then he slid into her and made love to her for the third time since they arrived the hotel. The only words that escaped from Lanre’s mouth were her moans. That was the only thing he wanted to hear coming out of her mouth.
