Marry One, Get One Free!

“What? You want to laugh?” Ify asked. She was embarrassed and he was going to laugh at her. She hits him with her purse. “Do you want to laugh at me? Go on and laugh!” She said hitting him continuously.

K caught her hand in other to make her stop. He pulled her close to himself. He got so close to her, his lips brushing against hers. It got Ify thinking he was going to kiss her again.

“Do not do that with me again”. She said trying to stop him. “And you think I would listen to your words?” He asked with a smirk. Their breaths mixed as they stood with their face barely distant from each other.

“Your lips are begging for mine, Miss Ochuzi!” He said to her. “Well, I want you to listen to this”. He said to her. He made sure he had gained all her attention and she has stopped ogling him.

“Do you know why you are here?” He asked her. She looked at him confused. “You have no clue, but I will help you”. He said to her.

K told her to tell her fiancé it was over and she should as well get ready to become an Adewale, the wife of Kehinde Adewale. Ify slapped him immediately after he was done spewing what she felt as trash.

“Now I know you are insane!” She said leaving K to himself.

K had a smirk on his face. He cared little about the slap. He took the bottle of wine which he had abandoned before and poured himself a glass. Then he drank it all up. He pulled out his phone. He unlocked a feature in it. He had a smug look on his face.

“I’m coming for you sexy, but in a different turn. I will play you the song you never expected and you will dance to my tune, right into my arms”. He said. His eyes never moved away from the phone in his hands. Then he puts it back into his pocket after he was satisfied looking at it.

He looked up and laughed. “Everything is fair in love and in war. Sex is love and war”. He said laughing. Anyone who had no clue what was going on with him and was just passing by would say he has gone mad.

K left where he was, without letting anyone know, he left the party. He was going to his house. He never signed up for any party. If at all he wanted that, he would have just gone to a night club with his friends and they would just party together. But he was not in for that. All the same, he was glad it happened. But it annoys him that his mother, just like a typical African mother would want to find a wife for her son, wants him to marry Ify.

“Marry one, get one free!” He muttered and laughed at his crazy thoughts. Maybe it could end up differently.
