Not Lanre

“Like I said before, you are in the wrong room. I’m not the one you are looking for”. Lanre said. She looks at the young man’s foot which was preventing the door from closing. She wanted him to remove it.

“Kehinde definitely sent me to you. I will like it if you come with me and tell him to his face that you do not want to see him. I wonder how he will take that. But at least if you do that, I can take you out for lunch”. He said to her.

“Get lost!” She said to him. Then she jammed the door against his foot. He screamed when she did that. He had removed his leg in reflex. And Lanre had locked the door immediately she saw his leg was no more an obstacle to her shutting the door.

“Where the hell did Kehinde find this annoying sexy fish from?” Christian said. He wore an evil smile. Kehinde was getting engaged. And it was not Lanre. After Kehinde’s engagement to the Igbo girl his mom had hand picked, he will come for this beauty. So he thought.

“She has to pay for hurting my foot!”. He muttered. Then he walked out of the hallway, got into the elevator and out of the hotel. He got into his car once he got outside. The receptionist had sent security to stop him while she sent one to go and check if the guest in room 416 was ok.

Just when the security personnel has gone to check on Lanre who happens to be the one in room 416, the manager of the hotel showed up.

“What is going on here?” The managers voice echoed into the space. He was displeased seeing such a small crowd which comprises more of the hotel securities. It was as though someone had stolen something and has just been cut.

Immediately Christian saw the hotel manager, he turned away from them hiding his face. The receptionist was afraid to talk because she was negligent of her job. The customer’s information were meant to be confidential, yet she gave a stranger the room number of on of their customers.

She bowed her head shamefully even though the man was yet to know what happened. Christian decided to walk away at this point. But the securities stopped him. While the manager walked towards him wondering why the young man see to be hiding his face.

“Mr. Ayodele Christian!”. The hotel manager said before covering his mouth with his hands. He told everyone to go back to work. Then he asked Christian what had brought him to the hotel.

“If you had called me and told me you were coming, I would have welcomed you specially”. The manager said. Christian smirked.

“I didn’t come to see the hotel! It’s not like it is as cool as it use to be”. Christian mocked. The manager bit his lips. He told Christian they will work on it. Christian told him he has a special guest in room 416.

“Please give her a presidential treat! Everything is on the hotel”. Christian had said before leaving the hotel premise.
