Lanre and Ify are roommates and students of the prestigious University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu state. While Lanre is a beautiful light skin girl from the city of Ibadan, Ify whose full name is Ifeoma is dark skinned from the coal city, Enugu and both are undergraduates studying Mass communication and are in their final year. 
Unlike Ify, Lanre is the wild type who has her eyes for extremely flashy things, so when a guy approached her and asked her to marry her, she thought he wanted to hinder her from leaving life to the fullest until she realised he was the governor's son and wanted him for herself. But he was already engaged to Ify. What price is Lanre willing to pay to marry the "Governor's Son"?

The Governor's Son Is Mine

After Mimi’s went live on Instagram and on Twitter, netizens began to withdraw their hate speech to Lanre. Majority of them went in search of her Twitter and Instagram handle to apologise. Some began to say that it was funny yet surprising how the accuse never came up to defend herself. While some said,

“The guiltless will remain fearless with a clear conscience”. And “There was no need defending herself cause she knew she was innocent”. That day, Lanre had over twenty thousand followers on worldwide on Twitter and on Instagram.

And as a result of it, Lanre became popular. At the end of the day, when she saw all that has happened, she told Christian,

“Is God not wonderful? He has a way of fighting for his children”. Christian laughed happy that she looked happy. But he knew Mimi, she wiu not do such things for Lanre for free. Could Kehinde be involved in this? And if he is, does it mean he may leave Ify one day? If he does, it would be good. But if he doesn’t, it will be better both ways.

“At least now you will get better soon since you have been cleared”. Lanre told him she was not sure. She told him she was already feeling sick before she found out.

“Why did you not tell me?” Christian half yelled. Lanre told him to stop raisin his voice that she was still having headache and that she was not a kid for him to raise his voice at her.

“Okay, I’m sorry!” Christian said to her. Then he left the room she was in telling her to be comfortable while he goes out.

“Let me follow you”. Lanre said. But Christian told her that his father was in town and he was going to meet his father, whereas he was going to meet with K.

Lanre agreed to stay back because the last thing she would want is to meet with Christian’s father. She does not want any kind of misunderstanding.

While Christian left to meet K, Lanre called Chidinma on phone. She just wanted the girl to know she was alright. She also spoke with Pearl and learnt that they had gone to settle in Warri, a city in Delta state. When she asked why they chose to go there, Pearl told her she has been hearing of the place and wanted to live there for a while. If Warri turns out favourable, then they would just settle down there completely. They soon ended their conversation after talking for nine minutes. Immediately after the call, Lanre got an incoming call.

She answered only to realise it was Anita. When she noticed that it was Anita, Ify cousin, she told her she was not going to marry her brother and wanted to end the call, but Anita told her that was not the reason she called and that she should at least listen to her.

“Lanre, I want to help you get K back. This was all my mother’s doing”. Anita said.
